Moss?

Staff likes Moss but like Mack better.

This is tough part of portal, everything is so compressed and you really can't count guys until they have signed & enroll. He says Vols would gladly take both but it is probably a situation where once one commits the other will look elsewhere. The staff is trying to lock down Mack and then see what happens. Obviously there comes a point Vols may have to commit to Moss. To be clear they really like both guys, both are very experienced, but they have coached Mack up close & feel he has a slight athletic edge over Moss

Should be plenty of spots for CBs, no? And presumably we’re going to try and land both Safeties in Mack and Byard?

I think UT would take every corner they are currently pursuing, but it is likely as 2-3 of these guys are locked in that one or 2 of the other CBs will look for situations where playing time seems more certain or where more money may be offered as pool of available talent starts to shrink.

Need to be careful here. Guys like Jalen McMurray and Chris Brazzell played huge dividends for Tennessee. Both talented (Freshman All American) guys that stayed here after their one transfer.

Not saying the PSU or OSU guys won’t stay at least 2 years, but it’s important not to fall in love with HS star rankings vs actual college production.

There’s a lot of talent out in the portal. Especially DB. King Mack. Aaron Scott and Davion White form Tulane are 3 guys that could transform our secondary over night. Add Farooq and Redmond and Hood too I guess? Has he declared yet? That some serious experience and skill.
