Common sense

Going from a program that is perpetually in the conversation for a NC to one that in a GOOD year finishes third in the conference?

The only reason I could see it is if they back up Mexican cartel sized money trucks to his front door. Either that or he's an idiot.

And you’re confident he has common sense?

LSU deserves anything bad that goes their way until Lane Kiffin is a distant memory in college sports.

I'm not a big believer in karma and all the other new age garbage

I do however believe that whatever you do in life eventually catches up with you. I am currently dealing with something I did incorrectly 15 years ago which I thought was solved and put to bed. Nope. Not the case at all.

At this point, I feel like I just witnessed a really bad car wreck. Bodies and body parts all over the pavement. And I walk over to the one named 'college football' and watch him take his last breaths.

It's ALL about the money now. Honor, integrity, any sense of loyalty to a program or school has not only left the building, but the SEC/NCAA are allowing it (even encouraging it) to happen. It's a sad day in my opinion.

As to whether or not he has common sense... who knows what that is anymore? DeBoer's 8 year contract is only $87 million. How will the man put food on the table for that?

Is Dabo still not using the portal? I don't keep up but if he's not, his coaching stock should be tanking.

If he's not going to adapt to the modern game, he's not going to continue his success.

Which I thought why his stock was dropping, his inability to adapt to the changes in college football. It won't go over at Clemson much less Alabama.

He did finally use the portal a bit this year and I think one of their top defenders ending up being a portal player if I recall correctly. A LB I think.

I really don't keep up with Clemson and I'm not at all a Dabo fan. He has that Kirby Smart, please punch me in the mouth smirk on his face and I'm too old to go to jail or have my hand pinned back together.

Seriously, I think his time has passed BUT because of that, he'd be a good hire for Bama if DeBoer leaves. I think he'd just keep the seat warm for Kiffin's next jump.

Silverfield???? Bless Arkansas’ heart.

Said it before. Be careful what you do in today’s college football. The head coaching pool is very shallow.
Coaches who are winning where they are are winning because those programs have the resources to win. It's going to be increasingly difficult to lure those coaches away from somewhere they are already winning for jobs that just got their coach fired. Unless that coach is Lane Kiffin apparently. Grass is always greener somewhere else no matter how many times you pretend to know it's not.

1. Karma is not a new age philosophy. It's discussed all throughout the Bible but not using that term.

2. What you are describing you believe here is karma.

Karma has more of a new age coating on it.

I'm more of the "what comes around goes around" kind of philosophizer (Bill and Ted reference lol-I know how to spell philosopher)

Universal truths are true regardless of the label you place on them or 'coating' you apply.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is such good advice because how you treat others is the way you will be treated in return. And I'm not saying necessarily by the same person.

What you give is what you get. Again, a Universal truth that some call karma. You said you realized this truth, without understanding that karma is the word some people use for the exact truth you are describing.

God is all there is. Call God whatever you want to call Him. Brahman, Jesus, Krishna, Zeus, Om, all these are labels to describe something you cannot label so they all fall woefully short. The universal truth is I am. What you label me as is irrelevant. Most often what you are labeling is simply an aspect of God and not God Himself.

Exodus 3:14 (Hebrew translation) "And ´Élöhîm said unto Möšè, "I AM THAT I AM:" and he said, "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yiŝrä´ël I AM hath sent me unto you."'
