I think there are better odds of that scenario happening than Vanderbilt going 10-2. You're right that a 10-2 Vanderbilt would get in. I just think that Vanderbilt going 10-2 is more unlikely than a team like Virginia Tech (or Georgia Tech, or North Carolina, etc.) going 10-2 at some point and winning the ACCCG.

How is the format any different? SMU was an ACC runner up with 2 losses and made the playoff as an at large team, something YOU said couldn't happen.

The seeding is completely different. Last year’s format has zero to do with the new format starting this hear. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Nobody was talking about seeding. they were talking about getting in.
SMU didn't win the conference anyway so their seeding wouldn't change much.
