2024 U.S. Senate Races

"What you did write was deeply prejudicial to the interests of the president, you say it wasn't political, and yet you must have understood," Schiff said. "You must have understood the impact of your words. You must have understood the impact of your decision to go beyond the specifics of a particular document, to go to the very general, to your own personal prejudicial, subjective opinion of the president, one you knew would be amplified by his political opponent. When you knew that would influence a political campaign, you had to understand, and you did it anyway. You did it anyway."

"What is in the rules, Mr. Hur?" Schiff said. "What is in the rules is you don't gratuitously do things to prejudice the subject of an investigation when you're declining to prosecute you don't gratuitously add language that you know will be useful in a political campaign. You were not born yesterday. You understood exactly what you were doing. It was a choice."

"You certainly didn't have to include that language. You could have said vis a vis the documents that were from the university. The president did not recall. There is nothing more common. You know this. I know this. There is nothing more common with a witness of any age when asked about events that are years old to say, I do not recall. Indeed, they're instructed by their attorney to do that if they have any question about it. You understood that you made a choice. That was a political choice. It was the wrong choice. Mr. Chairman, I yield back."

"Congressman, what you are suggesting is that I shape, sanitize, omit portions of my reasoning, an explanation to the attorney general for political reasons," Hur said.

"No," Schiff shot back. "I suggest that you do not shape [a] report for political reasons, which is what you did."

Adam Schiff should be tried for treason. Everything he is accusing Hur of he did.

EXCLUSIVE Ted Cruz Endorses Kari Lake: Arizona Senate hopeful secures the backing of another top Republican who says she will 'prioritize security' and 'won't back down from a fight'

Senate hopeful Kari Lake has picked up another endorsement from an influential Republican who she hopes will soon be her colleague.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, announced Thursday that he will throw his support behind the former journalist-turned-politician in the competitive Arizona Senate race.

'Kari has proven that she will always prioritize the security and well-being of Arizonans and the American people and will not back down from a fight,' Cruz said in a statement shared exclusively with DailyMail.com.

With Cruz's endorsement, Lake adds to her star-studded list of Senate supporters.

Lake also has the endorsements of Sens. John Thune, R-S.D., John Cornyn, R-Texas, Steve Daines, R-Mont., John Barrasso, R-Wyo., Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.

Including Cruz, Lake has 19 endorsements from Senate Republicans, including the support of almost all of the GOP leadership.

In his endorsement, Cruz noted Lake's tough stance on border security and immigration and said the state, which has seen huge numbers of illegal border crossings, needs a leader who is up to the task.

Stabenow to Retire, creating GOP pickup opportunity in Michigan

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), the chairwoman of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee and a close ally of Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), announced Thursday she is not running for reelection in 2024.

The announcement is a blow to Democrats’ hopes of keeping their Senate majority in 2025 as they face a tough Senate map this cycle.

Democrats have to defend 23 Senate seats in the next election — including those held by Independent Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.), Bernie Sanders (Vt.) and Angus King (Maine).

Schumer also faces potential retirements in two red-leaning states, Montana and West Virginia, where centrist Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) are mulling whether to run for reelection.

They will throw it away somehow. The GOP always does. Snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory

Thanks for serving up this candidate, MAGA.

We can ship those dollars elsewhere, cause Minnesota is staying blue with this clown on the ballot.

I know you goobers hate it, but you do realize ladies vote, right?

Lady who described 9/11 as "somebody did something"

Good job Minnesota nominating these two F-wads. And EL, seriously find better people to advocate for. Gross.
Methinks you know not who his opponent is.

Those line item votes or were there ridiculous and idiotic things also your to those bills?

It's disingenuous when the right does it, it's disingenuous when the left does it.

The problem is idiots don't know any better or they are like you and don't care as long as they can prop up their toxic party for cheap shots. Either way there's not much more pathetic.

Rick Scott up this term in Florida. Not a real big fan of his, but you should see the clowns that are running against him. One is an actor from Disney and the other has no appreciable resume.

Sen. Sherrod Brown Took Campaign Donations from Ohio Woman who Had Been Dead for Months: records

Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown’s campaign accepted campaign donations from a woman who had been dead for months, records show.

And now the case has been referred to the Federal Election Commission.

Records obtained by The Post show that Carol Ann Baker of Toledo, Ohio, died in December 2023.

Yet, months later in May, the Friends of Sherrod Brown campaign committee received at least two campaign donations from the late Ohioan.

Brown, a Democrat, is locked in a tight reelection fight with Republican Bernie Moreno.

Polls have Brown leading by five points, but Republicans have targeted Brown’s seat as one they hope to flip.

Florida Senate Race is Dead Heat: Poll

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-Fla.) are locked in a dead heat in Florida’s Senate race, according to polling released Friday by The Hill and Emerson College Polling.

Scott leads Mucarsel-Powell 46 percent to 45 percent among likely Florida voters, well within the survey’s plus or minus 3.4 point margin of error. Nine percent of voters said they are undecided.

Looks like all those Yankees that turned New York into a shithole are determined to do it in Florida. You can’t fix stupid. God I wished these idiots would stay out of Tennessee.

It's a good chance that is part of it. Help ruin those states like New York, they move when it's so bad only to want to ruin other states.

If you ever used to go out and party when you were younger it's like those bad apples that would start frequenting a new popular spot. They help run it into the ground with fighting and shooting. People would stop going, then they would stop going to. Rinse and repeat.
