We usually don't know these things until right before they visit. So hopefully some things are in the works.

One thing concerning is we don't even have assistant coaches, except one, that we know of. But maybe that's happened behind the scenes as well.

Does anyone know if the assistant coming with the new coach was her main recruiter? That would make me feel better. Also, we know good ole Sam is still on the job, bless her.
Would be nice to see her fill.out her staff, if she hasn't already..

Wells if healthy would also be a great player in transition. She has nifty moves for a small player.
I think Wells is especially dangerous from the perimeter of she is not overthinking every situation to get the ball to who it is supposed to go to.
I think early on in the season that was where she was struggling. At Belmont she had the green light on everything and scored at a high clip. With more freedom to shoot, we should see increased 3 point production from Spear, Darby. Puckett, Wells, and even Striplyn and Strickland. With Slashers like Wynn, Boyd and Cooper, we could have a very good inside out game working. Didn't even mention Hollingshead who's plays so much better in the paint when she has space to operate. Could be an exciting year. The defensive side of things is where I'm still not sold about it being effective in the SEC in this day and age of women's basketball.

Still not a player I was very impressed with. She disappeared in a lot of big games for them. Rebounded the ball well all season but her scoring is very dependent on the level of competition. If you look at her stats she struggled to score against pretty much all teams with a quality post presence.

Also not crazy about her history, she left the LSU program under some sort of circumstances and then we had the ponytail pull on Striplin last season. Just not for me.

I don’t love her either, though it seems some folks here think she’s the ideal post for CKC’s system. My partner also really likes her game. Tamari at like 60% was able to effectively shut Petty down though.

I think there have been much better posts with more range on their shot enter in the last week here.

I bet Coach Sam is staying.

Ugh no lol. Now Zaay I would like but I think it’s a long shot she ends up back at UT.
I believe Zaay has a good shot to end up back with the LVs. Sometimes second chances turns into spectacular opportunities and results. Zaay is tailor-made for the Coach Kim run and gun offense and pressure defense. GBO.

They are not coming here to be substituted out of the game every minute or two. The best players want to play and be the focal point of the team as they should be.
This is pure BS. As been documented, 4 of her starters had almost 30 minutes a game. A gross distortion to imply all her players getting pulled out every minute. It is clear you have an agenda impervious to facts.

I think you’re right, I’m sure we will get players but it won’t be the Kiki type, we will probably get role players and need need elite players and starters.

Seriously though and on topic, are any of these good players that are in the transfer portal actively considering Tennessee or not? Any visitors lined up? There seems to be no movement at all not even rumors.
I don’t know anything for sure, but following the rumors none of the top players are considering us.

The question is if she gets a player like Juju or Hidalgo would she play them 35 mins?

Wells will be ok off the bench for a few mins, and Wynn can smash but she can’t make layups, so she shouldn’t see much time either, but this is if we can get players to come here.

Not sure why that would make you feel better. Her main recruiter was most likely recruiting for mid major players; not power five players that they had no hope of getting.

Given that her system promotes 30 minutes for the best players and her teams are close to the top in the nation in points and many other stats, why would good players reject the system when they can score so many points and be in elite shape. Not to say we will get a bunch of recruits and transfers now given that coach is such an unknown, but I don't think the system is a drawback.

Year over year Wynn has improved tremendously in this program. She'll be a senior and I bet you she will see a lot more time than what you think. If you watch Marshall play this last year, you'll see they drive and kick. There's nobody on this current Lady VOL team that can get to the rim at as well as Kaiya Wynn when she decides to. Then defensively in a full court press, Kaiya is a former state champion sprinter. Kaiya is going to get her time.

Gotta learn to not commit offensive fouls though. Love Kaiya’s speed and determination, but she fouled on those drives more often than I liked.

I’m not going to debate, but I’ll say go watch some film of Wynn going in for layups and then go and watch her high school film and tell me if u see a difference.

Even so, need another P5 recruiter/evaluator
From Coach's last interview ,she said she was getting top notch support from existing personnel in Athletics Department . My interpretation is that the recruiting folks that were over there and the logistics folks are still in place and giving her really good support.
