That woulld be Weimers style. No Beers is big body not run the floor type from Oregon St. The best center out there for her style is Ajae Petty.

Petty makes more sense under this coach than she did under Harper. We need a rebounder with Coach Caldwell. With Harper she would have been trying to run the offense through Petty like we did Jackson.

And those two players are NOT the same. I maintain we were about to be Kentucky 2.0 this season if we didn’t fire Kellie. She was going to take her old buddy Kyra’s players who were looking for a new home. They were a bottom feeder team and 12-20 on the season. Putting those same players in Harper’s system wasn’t going to make them magically better.

Now Caldwell’s system? Different story.

True Petty is the ideal type center for this offense can run the floor and is quick enough to press on defense. Weimar also fits quite well. Posts like Beers don't really fit but if she wanted to play at Tennessee you would have to take her and figure out a plan.

Latham has narrowed her list and didn’t include Tennessee. She wanted to play at Tennessee coming out of high school, but her dad didn’t agree with them parting ways with Kellie
That’s unfortunate… I doubt we get in the picture. But I really like her out of the players I’ve seen clips of… I think she would fit this new scheme really well.

I watched the replay of full game of Marshall vs Wake Forest on YouTube on ACC channel/page. Marshall lost but was in the game til the last minute. But it gives you the best glimpse of what she runs, very similar to Bama offense just with a constant press defense. Lots of attacking basket and threes. Like the cliche lay ups and 3s how Bama offense is described.

The sad part is the offense didn’t run through Rickea until the end of the season, most games she would go long stretches without touching the ball.

Filling out our roster, I think we will see a lot of 3 interchangeable guards, a flexible wing 4, and a rebounder/defender at 5. So it currently looks like this:

- 3 interchangeable guards - must be able to shoot and defend
Jewel Spear
Destinee Wells
Avery Strickland
Kaniya Boyd

- 1 flexible wing
Talaysia Cooper
Sara Puckett
Kaiya Wynn

- 1 rebounder/defender
Karoline Striplin
Jillian Hollingshead

At an absolute minimum, we need 1 more rebounder/defender, Petty would be perfect, and 2 more interchangeable guards (ideally like Taliah Scott, Maddie Scherr, & Hailey Van Lith).

Had me right up until you put VanLith on there. No thanks. Wouldn’t go there, I don’t think she’s that good and we saw her defense all season. She’s just slow.

She’s also a volume shooter with a ho hum shooting percentage if you let her dominate the ball. Kim would not allow her to dominate the ball so she’s headed on.

Caldwell isn’t going for that, it’s clear her teams are designed around everyone contributing not one star scoring 25 a night.

Do u think the coach is happy with all the players on the roster, or u think she will want some to transfer and replace with better players?

Unless Wynn learns to shoot 3s, she is not ideal for what Caldwell wants on offense, and there is no way you could ever play Cooper and Wynn at the same time. You can hide some of Cooper's shooting deficiencies if you have three other great shooters out there at the same time.

Cooper is a great fit on defense, but her shooting is a very tough thing to overcome. Still, I think she is talented enough that it is worth scheming around.

The Darby's may need to look around. Edie might be a better fit than Tess.

Wynn is not good, I know people won’t like to hear this but that’s the truth. She’s the same player since high school so she won’t be getting better.

That's just not true. I don't think she's an SEC starter, but she's vastly improved. Her FT% alone has gone from 43% to 48% to 69% this year. Her FG% also improved from 30% to 39% this year, and her A/TO improved from 0.5 to a really solid 1.3. That 19% 3pt. % is tough, though.
