I like her, too, and was one of the coaches I would have been A-Ok if she'd been tapped to lead Tennessee. With the right players, she could be successful.

We better get used to not getting most of if not all of our desired transfers this year. There is no way a coach that the transfer players had never head of who plays a system that have not seen can compete with the coaches and programs that they have been watching and perhaps already were a hard lean before we even got out coach. Just because we may now offer more NIL money than before doesn't mean we are offering more than other programs. It is early so we still may get a couple of good ones but I am not holding my breath. If this is true again next year, that is when I will start being concerned.

Either that, LV renaissance, OR there will be players who are willing to take a chance on an energetic, magnetic, exciting coach who has, as I recall, taken every single one of the teams she's coached to at least conferemce titles and, at most, the national championship. Players might just be drawn to a style of play that will make them stronger, tougher, faster, and well prepared for the next level.

Like any new coach, you have to prove you can do more with less.

I mean, we don’t even know who the assistant coaches are. Hard to imagine recruits being psyched in the face of such uncertainty unless they either don’t think they’ll get a better offer or are really enamored with the style of play.

edited to add: there is the possibility players and recruits know and we don’t! which to me is the ideal scenario 🙏🏼 i hate not knowing but it also literally does not matter if i know or not aside from ticket sales.

“We” doesn’t mean the recruits or players don’t know. She’s bringing one over and good chance she’s keeping one/both (if one my assumption is Sam for recruiting)

If she can’t get any recruits, which I think she will. She may have to get some of the Marshall girls to run her system. I think by the end of the portal she’ll have a few just may not be who everyone wants.

Indeed...[other than NIL] the coaching staff is the main reason kids choose their school...for some reason, this doesn't seem to be an urgent matter for DW & CKC...this blows my mind [unless I'm missing something]...There must be a good reason why things seem to be progressing so slow...let's hope 🙏...LVFL 🧡💙🧡

The thing is with people claiming to be fans who talk negative every chance they can get when ANY player(s) transfers from one losing team to another like this about their own team is that in reality they do not have a clue. UT has a core to build around and chances for a good season are still high. The season as usual will look nothing like the fanatics are predicting and watch how all of a sudden their entire tone will shift once the team step foot on the court. They will act like they never said anything to discredit the team once the wins start piling up. The definition of fair weather fans.

Glad you can report the poster for the minuscule thing, and like others have pointed out, you’ve attacked posters on this board as well (Dak and Darth), but for some reason you get a “I didn’t mean to, if I did, there was no intent”

Don’t think Joy stays, but Think Sam will just because she’s known as a good recruiter for years. The third one is strange either not heard of or is known around the college ranks.

She was issued a misdemeanor for possession and causal exchange of a schedule 1 drug: Weed. The UTK Code of Conduct states expulsion as the remedy. Another player committed a misdemeanor and received a warning. I think the difference had to do with pattern of behavior.

And who is this Liza Fruendt that is listed as an assistant coach on staff directory. Think she played for Kellie at Missouri State.
