People never seem to get that when you get the players you become a great coach. Mulkey in her first year at LSU had a winning season because she played a lot of teams with bad talent. One team Florida Atlantic beat the crap out of that team on their home floor. She gets all those portal players next year and wins the National title. Let me pick any 10 players I want and I'll go win a National title next season.

If the coaches didn’t have something to do with it… JonI Taylor would’ve been at least a Sweet Sixteen coach and not 8th…

(Also MSST would’ve been the same)

Personally I didn’t think u would think OU is stacked….

I checked her out she had a scoring eff of 1.16 which I rare something like a c plus. We have players on the team now that are more efficient. If she can play elite defense however we should grab her. Cause were looking for defenders as much as scorers.

We just don’t know the numbers, and how much are these elite players getting upfront is the question.

They have a couple of players that were highly ranked in their hoop gurlz class and a nice point guard and the rest are fairly average.

Also to be fair, it's reasonable to think KJH and staff had a much better chance of making a portal haul than the new staff. They had a successful portal history, the new staff is starting from scratch, but hopefully with better NIL.

This is the major reason to have left Kelly alone ! Her record of getting recruits out of the portal …. Plus she had some highly ranked recruits coming! Now in the next year that she would have improved a little or would have had a worse year ? Then the firing would have a no brainer . And the AD would have had a whole year to look for a new coach ?
It now we have a new coach that has no recruits as of yet ? With a know game plan of platooning to present to potential recruits ! We know she can get the Hayes sisters to play for her but can she keep the ones Kellie had committed or get anything better ? Time will tell ? 🤷‍♂️

Haven't heard are we still playing 16 SEC games or is that jumping to 18? Plus does anybody think Coach Caldwell will try to play the same non conference schedule that Kellie did. Our sos last season was number one.

The coaches get the players, it doesn’t matter if we beat a coach before if their roster is so much better now is what I’m saying.

If we get Hayes redux, I will know my basketball life is officially cursed.

I will never understand.

People here get soooo close to understanding what I mean with Justine being a the example…

You’ll hear McDAA by girls who average 10 mins and 3 points in their career like they are some kinda God

Y’all don’t want Alasia Hayes? Wasn’t she top 30 in her class.

Both of hers played really well why they won so many this year. That is the difference. If they were highly rated and then produce ok. If they didn't then you can say they were overrated.

I don’t even go on rankings while in high school, if I watch some film and they don’t look good to me and they are rated as a top ten recruit, I know they are overrated, that’s why I never get excited from a commit like most people until I watch their games.

But in the same note there are many under-ranked but it seems they have to be otherworldly to get half the attention

We give so much room for flops vs “over achieving”

People acted like Jewel was bad bc HS ratings

If she’s a W prospect that puts her top 36 in basketball
