I will never understand his appeal to uneducated voters .... who he would never in a million years associate himself with personally. He has a miserable personality.

The best summary I could ever come up with was simply that trump is a horrendously despicable human.
He absolutely appeals to the worst traits in human nature.....by design.
Trumpers have become worse people because of their support of him.
What is considered normal and acceptable social behavior and interaction has been drastically lowered because of Trump.
The fact that so many look at Trump and see something good and positive is beyond my comprehension.
It's a constant battle trying to view trumpers with an open mind.

That is the biggest irony. He is the utmost coastal elite. He loves celebrity, Hollywood, fame, and fortune. He is as anti-rural as any president in history, and no president has ever looked down on fly-over country with more disdain than Trump.

But as he said back in 2016,

There is a growing lack of civility in the political discourse now, which I think is attributable to him and to cable news rhetoric. Anything goes now.

What he has planned during the SOTU address is the perfect example.
It serves no purpose other than to further divide and dumb down his base.

He is but the left has contributed to it as much as anyone. For years everything the GOP did was supposedly to control minorities and hurt old people. Hell, current POTUS claimed we wanted to put AA back in chains. Every time an income tax cut is introduced the left screams "it benefits the rich more." Well, how the hell did you think that was going to work in a graduated income tax system. SS and Medicare talks the left goes on tv and screams to old people that the GOP is out to get them. Even though it would exclude them.

.... and when I say that Trump is petty, can you imagine anyone else picking a public fight with Taylor Swift over her endorsement and who is more popular? She actually came away looking like the more sensible adult between the two, because she ignored him.
