I think you know where I stand on the political spectrum. With that said, at what point do we (or is there a point at which we do) concede the battles are ongoing but the war is lost? Can you imagine a future without higher taxes? Or a future without a single payer national health care system? Even now, some automakers are voluntarily switching to all electric vehicles. We can still fight the battle but I think the outcome of war is inevitable.

I never thought about that. I don’t put anyone on ignore as people have every right to be stupid and I can just skip over anything I don’t want to read. To each their own though.

Team Trump Dominates Republican 2024 Presidential Poll with 73 Percent Support

Former President Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., and members of his administration dominate Republican support for 2024, according to a poll released Tuesday.

The Morning Consult/Politico poll shows Trump holds a 53 percent lead among other potential candidates, even after Democrats failed to impeach him for the second time. Vice President Mike Pence gets 12 percent support, Donald Trump Jr. gets six percent and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gets two percent.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, although serving in the Trump administration, has publicly criticized the former president and called for the party to move on. Haley earns six percent support in the poll.

Sen. Mitt Romney, who voted twice to impeach Trump earns four percent support and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a frequent Trump critic, only has one percent.

Republicans would do best to move on (quickly) from Trump and his progeny and focus on finding a charismatic candidate for 2024. Could be Nikki Haley, could be someone not mentioned, but would be best for all if it's someone who takes a moderate approach.

Donald Trump Snubbed Nikki Haley when she Pleaded for a sit-down meeting at Mar-a-Lago after repudiating him for his campaign to overturn the election

Nikki Haley was snubbed Wednesday by Donald Trump when she requested a sit-down with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago residence, a source told Politico Thursday.

Trump and his former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations have not spoken since January 6, when Haley publicly blamed the former president for riling up his supporters before they stormed the Capitol.

The turn down for an in-person meeting came hours before Haley released an op/ed with the Wall Street Journal appearing to conduct damage control regarding her relationship with Trump after she continuously broke with him post-insurrection.

Haley, however, has oftentimes flip-flopped her stance on Trump.

Haley appeared to realize, by evidence of her op/ed Wednesday, that her words against the former president could have consequences – including jeopardizing her ability to ride on Trump's coattails while potentially ticking off his massive base of supporters, which are needed for any Republican to win a presidential election.
