2024 NBA Season Thread aka The Zion High Deductible Healthcare Plan

I don't see what the big deal is, either way. Fans should be able to talk **** (without crossing certain lines), and it's not a big deal if players go at them. The they shouldn't talk to me like that and players shouldn't get into it with fans talk after the fact is so dumb. Everybody do what they wanna do. Players need to realize as soon as they step to a fan, they lost the transaction. There is no way to win from there. Just talk a little **** and beat their team. Reggie Miller on Spike Lee type of scenario.

Oh I agree 100%, both sides of the argument are dumb. Unless the fan says something insane, like they one that said something about Vernon Maxwell's daughter or some f*cked up racist sh*t or if they throw sh*t at a player, it's fair game. PGs comments are funny, dude has never known a person that worked in the service industry. But also it would be funny watching a player just spank a fan once a year.

And equally fun if the fan ended up spanking the "tough guy" player. Imagine the hilarity if Russ or Jimmy got dropped by some 5'10 160 lbs guy lol

It feels like C Webb is getting forgotten over time. Not saying he is an all time great but I never hear his name mentioned.

Stevie Franchise, Mitch Richmond, Glenn Rice, Chris Webber, and Zo...all time "oh yeah that guy was pretty good" team

I haven’t forgotten his awful color commentary.

I was about to say.

Webber still gets mentions today for being maybe the most talented PF of all-time while squandering it having a mostly bone-headed career. It's funny hearing his commentary about players being professionals and seizing big moments, because he was not about that

He got a lot of love the last couple years for his HOF push but it reminds of like Miguel Tejada, a super awesome player that got overshadowed up by guys at his position that were super duper star talents (Dirk, KG, Duncan for Webb; Nomar, Jeter, A-Rod for Tejada)

Yeah true, but he was mostly mentioned on par or slightly behind those guys at the time. Now he's down with Derrick Coleman and Ho Grant. Ok maybe not that far. Lol Inb4 Huff goes on a tangent about Ho Grant's greatness.

You remember.

Again, Webber being a bonehead has a lot to do with it. WTF was he doing opting out of the Fab 5 documentary? What did he gain from that? I can't figure it out. He was the face of the Fab 5 and now he's not. Would've helped him stay in the zeitgeist. Just an all-around idiot.

"No one ever loved the Fab Five, so why would you use us to tell stories to get that fake love now?" - C Webb, on why he didn't participate

30m kids were wearing baggy Michigan shorts, but nobody loved you guys?

I would say he's definitely still regarded above those two you mentioned, but maybe not remembered as much as Grant (because of the Jordan doc, which he participated in).

Pistons might get a win tonight vs Up and Down Lakers...

Will Anthony Davis show up tonight is the big question...?

This could mean anything, but my mind immediately went to $$$

I know it's different leagues, but how has Giddey not been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation? This sounds awfully similar to the Wander Franco situation.

Orlando Magic on a 9 game winning streak....

Maybe that 100 I put on them to win it all was a good luck charm..🤣🤣🤣

So if the Celtics lose tonight and the Magic win, T-Wolves and Magic both lead their prospective conferences? 😂

And they are both legit from the games I've seen.

If I'm wondering if it's flukey, there are pretty much 3 things to consider, IMO...SOS, 3p shooting (for and against), and then injury luck (which is too difficult for me to want to check right now). Magic have had a weak SOS, but 3p shooting hasn't been on their side. Wolves (who I expected to be good) have had a tough SOS, but it will be hard to keep up this 3p luck.

It's not disrespectful because the points matter to the competition. It's disrespectful if you're doing it for no reason. The NBA has devised a way to make EVERY possession of a November game matter, and I'm here for it.

"The point differential thing, I'm not the biggest fan of it … the game was already over and the guys still trying to score, you know, it's all about respecting the game and respecting your opponents."
