I’d also note that I personally suspect that any crowd effect (which I do think is a real factor in baseball) is likely amplified in a college baseball regional (when the home team is playing) as compared to an average MLB game — less empty seats, less apathy, more tense environment, etc.

The only thing that worries me by looking at latest projections Georgia last team in you know they will be fighting like hell to get off the bubble

If we host I think there’s a pretty good chance we are matched with another SEC team in the supers. Unless we finish on a crazy run we’re 6th in the SEC hosting pecking order and probably end up 9-16. All 5 teams in front of us are probably all national seeds.

I’m not afraid to say I voted no. Watching this team every game during that bad stretch just got so frustrating - especially when a lot of it was just fundamentals. Pretty sure I got home from the ballpark after the Tech loss and voted no. Glad we finally put it all together and glad I’ve gotten to witness a lot of it in person (that Saturday Vandy game will be a tough one to forget).
Let’s get another series W this weekend! GBO

They have Georgia as the last team in. I didn't realize their RPI was so high. They pretty much have to take this series though.

I see little chance the committee will pick 6 SEC teams as national seeds.
I really have trouble seeing them picking 5
Should Tennessee beat South Carolina, that would be enough for the committee to make neither team a national seed.

The more I think about it, Tennessee will need to see one -or more, of the top-5 SEC teams tank to get a national seed. Not saying that's right, but I think that's the way it will be

Indiana State has one of those annoying real grass outfields with turf infields. Never understood the point of that.

They crushed Vanderbilt in the midweek before Tennessee swept the Dores.
I suspect they'd bring in extra bleachers. All their permanent seats are rather low and extend down the right field line further than left field. (sounds familiar)

Their river (Wabash) sits behind the stadium instead of behind the outfield. Beyond the left field wall is a cemetery.
The closest Dairy Queen is about a mile away.
Lindsey Nelson Stadium is 432 miles away
French Lick is about 110 miles away
Closest casino is 6 miles away

I listened to the D1 Baseball NerdCast yesterday, and they were discussing the field of 64; they are only using current data, and they realize that teams are on the move, both up and down. They think Tennessee is one of the teams that will improve their position tremendously; however, as of today, they are a two-seed but could potentially end up hosting at a 10-14 type seed. They all believe that this weekend against Georgia will determine a lot.

I hate turf in general, if we have to have it I’d want to do it how the cookie cutter stadiums did it with real dirt base cut outs.

The most absurd thing of all is having a turf warning track. That’s absurd and going to get someone hurt one day.

I understand the fill is different at the LNS warning track so there really is a "warning" for players.
