2022 Recruits

she is #30 on ESPN

Perhaps more importantly, given the disdain a number of members here have expressed for the current quality of the ESPN rankings, she is ranked, what appears to be 27, and the number 6 PG, by ProspectsNation. Also, the article linked below, from February 2020, says that she was rated as the "fifth best guard in the country for her age group, and 14th overall prospect in the 2022 class." Apparently she took quite a tumble after her acl tear and the entry of the new guard at ESPN.

Heights star sophomore out for season with torn ACL

Fell a little in the last ranking update 20 to 30 she is one of the point guards we have a shot at for 2022.

This is a point guard of need ….. In 22 we lose
One of our point guards but will be Horston’s senior year ! Miles coming back as a Sophomore. This young lady will come in and help support our point guard needs for our future! This would be a good get ! JMO

If you watch this guard, she tends to play a lot more off the ball, in the paint, and doesn't seem like a true point guard. Good player yes, but point guard? She almost looks as though she plays the 3 spot for her team.

It looks like she can play point guard as well as 2-4 positions too.....The young lady is a fine ball player and will be a fine addition to any squad by her presence.

Not sure of our chances with her, but she would go nice with Justine.

Has she regained pre injury quickness?

How is her handle? We seem to be getting a lot of good spot up shooters, and maybe a few less who can create their own shot, or drive. Most of them seem to be good passers so it will be a much different looking team going forward than it has been looking back. Given our turnover woes, that might be a wise decision, but the SEC is still an athletic league and not a spot up one so we will need a balance. The last class was pretty balanced, and had a nice mix of players, so it will be interesting to see how the next few pan out.

Easier to teach handles than shooting. Can’t teach a pure shooter. You got it or you don’t.

She has definitely recovered from the Covid effects....She moves like a fast flowing stream, and bombs the deep outside shot like the boss she is.

The 2022 class is looking golden.....

Ruby whitehorn on her visit today when I first saw this I thought was looking at Jazmine Massengill who transferred to Kentucky last year wow they could be twins
