What do you mean twice in 22 years?People are underestimating the talent Florida has. Yeah they have a first year coach but they do indeed have talent. I’ll believe we can beat them when I see it. Twice in 22 years doesnt convince me very much.
Why anyone would pick us to lose to South Carolina really confuses me
With the brief exception of the 90's in which Florida and Bama (3-7 vs. Florida, 5-4-1 vs Alabama) were not included, Tennessee hasn't owned anyone of significance in the league for 50 years.
Getting to a point of win-some, lose-some. Sure.
"Owning", not based on anything that we've seen since integration.
We were 9-0 against UGA in the 90’s and 10-2 vs Bama from 1995-2006 (technically 11-1 because those cheating gumps forfeited the 6-3 loss in ‘05 to us), so that’s just false. Auburn/LSU we would’ve owned in the 90’s as well, but rarely played them. LSU, probably both 80’s and 90’s. They were a trash program in the 90’s.
I cringed when I read Never's response, I was like "he just hung a curve over the plate and 99 is about to hammer it". Tennessee was 5-4-1 vs. Alabama in the 90's and 5-5 in the 2000's. By and large, usually one team doesn't "own" another if they are both good programs unless something has horribly gone wrong in which case you can bet that one program is suffering from a down period and probably has a plethora of coaching changes due to failure.

I'm not trying to insult or pick on anyone with the point either.
No one should "own" Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, etc. The only way one owns any of those programs is if one program is going through an exceptional period (like Alabama is currently) or one is going through a really rough period. Both of those situations are not normal however.
So, as an example, I know Florida winning 16 of the last 17 vs. Tennessee isn't normal and I don't expect Florida to win 16 of the next 17. I also don't expect Tennessee or anyone else to win 16 of the next 17 vs. Florida.
Valid point. But UF absolutely owned UGA as well from 1990-2010, I would say, and UGA was not in any down period, really.
Since Spurrier left, Florida is 11-9 vs. Georgia. (win some-lose some).
Most long running series for Florida, they got it handed to them before 1950 and since 1950, they've held their own. This is the case with the Georgia series.
