SIAP, and I don't usually post a lot. I saw the thread on SEC starting lineups by star rankings and thought I would post this as well. Granted Alabama leads the way by a wide margin, but the rest of the SEC comparison shows to me we have talent. Like a lot of posts on here, they mention lack of depth and that is true based on the low number of scholarship players had after the mass exodus from the Pruitt debacle. Anyway I have listed below the number of players on the 3 teams. The total first followed by number on each team 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

Alabama- 20 Total (10, 4, 6)
Texas A&M-9 Total (1, 5, 3)
Georgia-9 Total (6, 2, 1)
Tennessee-8 Total (1, 3, 4)
Auburn-6 Total (2, 3, 1)
Florida-5 Total (1, 1, 3)
LSU-4 Total (2, 1, 1)
Arkansas-4 Total (2, 1, 1)
SC-4 Total (0, 2, 2)
Ole Miss-Total 3 (1, 1, 1)
Kentucky-Total 3 (0, 2, 1)
Missouri-Total 2 (0, 0, 2)
Miss St.- Total 1 (0, 1, 0)
Vandy-Total 0 (0, 0, 0)

Great to see us with some guys who are being recognized. Now, they have to play up to their rankings. The biggest problem will be how much depth will we have to let these guys get a rest now and then.

I’m not completely sold on Bama’s skill guys being first team. Not sure how Gibbs gets first team nod, and I’ve always thought Burton was a little oversold. Don’t get me wrong, Bama is going to be a machine, but I don’t know about those guys being first team.

Burton is the most overrated player in the conference.

They had Anias Smith on the list 3 different times! Trash...

Kool-Aid Mkinstry for Bama was 3rd team?
Kid got roasted last year! He was a 5 star, so they're giving him the benefit of the doubt from his freshman season.
And they're still penalzing Banks for something supposedly worked through 3 years ago. Him being 3rd team is absolutely ridiculously bad. He should at the very least be 2nd team.

Trash list...

I would love to see a collation of pre-season all whatever teams and the season ending ones. I would LOVE to see these journalists live or die by their preseason predictions. No one seems to remember how inaccurate they are.

Last year CBS picked UT to lose to Mizzou and for Mizzou to finish with 8 or more wins. They picked UT to win 6 games. They picked UF and LSU to win 9 or better.

I'm not picking on them for not being able to predict the season... It is pretty much impossible to do. But they act as if they can to get paid.

It only serves to show that all the people making these lists are just throwing out their opinions. They all have their biases and there’s no reason to put any great stock in them. We could each make our own lists and they wouldn’t be any better or worse than these. They are all a bunch of weather girls.

Are they supposed to throw out someone else's opinion? Any predictions before the season are an educated guess, no one is able to give a perfect evaluation until all the games are played.

I agree Alabama getting almost their entire starting lineup on the list is crazy. They will be at the top as usual, but hope we can make a little jump this year. We will see.
