But 2023 is definitely several steps back. This team looks more like a Pruitt team than the last two years. Poorly coached, no adjustments, and a piss poor attitude. I’m not sure if this is just rot still in the locker room but it looked as if we were past this.

Did anyone really expect more than 8 or 9 wins with this team? Last year’s squad was on the cusp of a playoff appearance. It was going to be extremely difficult to replicate anything close to last season with the departures from the 2022 team and the replacements that filled those spots in 2023. Let’s face it, most college programs experience gap or transition seasons. Just remember, it wasn’t too long ago when the ceiling was 7 or 8 wins while the floor was not even making a bowl.

8-9 wins yes. I think the non competitive, keystone cop, beatdowns is what’s leaving a sour taste in the mouth.

lol if we win less than 8 games heupel will have the hottest seat in the country going into 2025. That’s an objective fact.
I agree and said the same thing last Saturday night. It’s not just the losses but how poor the team is performing in the losses that is very alarming.

I can't see how next year will be better than this year over all. We are going to be short players because of the Cornbread penalty , we are going to be starting a rookie qb who got almost no playing time, and we will be losing seniors. The only thing in our favor is we won't have Milton to drag down the team.

Something is off with Heupel this year. He doesn’t project confidence or energy like last season. He just doesn’t seem to care as much anymore. I think his aggravation with officiating and also all the injuries has taken a lot out of him. I thought there was a good chance we would go 8-4 this year with this schedule. But I didn’t expect the lack of fight I’ve seen from our team and coaching staff.
