2021 Season Predictions

Right on the money!!!
It's really funny when you look back at it.
But being optimistic is better than being negative.
I agree, I was just pointing out that even the most negative among us had actually been optimistic in hindsight these last few years, that's why I don't think too ill of a regular poster who sees a 5-7 season, it could happen.

Florida won't be as good as Ole Miss.
UGA chokes to UT far too often.

Florida trounced Ole Miss last year in Oxford. If they played again this year the results would be similar. Ole Miss was 5-5 and shoulda also lost to Kentucky and Miss State. Guess what, they’ll lose at least 5 again this year, Lane always does.

You undervalue Mullen and Florida, overvalue Lane and Ole Miss.

Your offense carried you many games last year. That offense is gone.
Not so sure your defense has improved.

I'm a Mullen fan.

You all will be taking a huge step back is all...

I said that if Milton is the QB - if its Bailey then 6-6 or better
Fairly sure, if our O Line is causing Milton to get squirrelly with his passes, Hooker will be QB2 because he's better as a scrambler. If the O Line is solid, Bailey is potentially QB2, but most likely still QB3.

Offense will be very good again. Offense was very good with Feleipe at QB, it’ll be outstanding with Emory Jones or AR15 at QB.

Defense will be significantly improved. If not, UF will lose about 4 games. If so, UF will win the East again.

Regardless, Florida would pound Ole Miss again.

Oh, contraire, Pierre! While Tennessee's wins over Kentucky used to be automatic, the last 4 games are split 2 apiece, with last year resulting in a 34-7 spanking of the Vols. In the Missouri-Tennessee series, Missouri owns a 5-4 advantage over UT, with 2017 being a 50-17 thrashing by Missouri.
I give you Missouri but Kentucky come on we can lose 15 straight and they still wouldn't be close

Agree that Kentucky's thimble-full of recent success pales in comparison to the sea of defeat they've endured vs UT. It's time to return them back to their most familiar memories! Thinking it will happen this season, too. And to your point, even if/when Kentucky COULD even the score, I won't be around to see it!

I think Mizzou looked much better towards the end of the season. They came on strong, where we did the opposite. The general consensus I’ve heard is that if we had played them at the end of the season the end result would have been different. I think it is a toss up this year, and hope we can pull off the W.
Missouri got blown out last two games including to a bad MSU team.

Bob Redman at y'all's 247 site says Emory looks putrid. So much for him marinating like a t-bone steak or whatever you said, Richardson will be starting by the time we play. Redman did say he looked better than Emory, though apparently that was a pretty low bar.

I don’t follow Redmon nor does anyone I know. Of the people I do follow, which is numerous guys I trust who cover the program, none of them are saying Emory looks putrid. Maybe you can produce the “Emory looks putrid” quote, especially since redmon hasn’t watched a single practice.

More importantly, I like what Mullen is saying about Emory and AR. I do agree that AR appears to be special. Mullen, usually understated and ho-hum publicly about his QB’s, including Trask last year, keeps going out of his way to compliment AR. We may be seeing another Lawrence replaces Bryant, Tua replaces Hurts situation, where the older guy is very good, but the dude behind him is great.

Either way, I love that Mullen has the pieces and I trust him 100% with QB’s.

Y’all keep getting it backwards with regard to Florida. The offense isn’t the question. The defense is.

The only time we lose to Kentucky is when we have bad coaching and qb play

I'm going 6-6. The 4 non conference games will be Ws along with USCe and Vandy. Just too many unknowns with the new staff for me to go any higher on the win total, mainly on defense. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get to 7-5 or 8-4 with good coaching. But also, we're Tennessee and the wheels could absolutely fall off too and this be a 4-5 win team. Sure hope not, but the first year with a new coach is always hard to forecast. We will learn alot this year though.

Oh, it's a given that your defense is suspect. Grantham is an idiot. I can't believe Mullen retained him. A very questionable decision. The post is over on Swamp 247, said Emory was just missing wide open guys on easy throws. I think there was recently a practice with a pretty long media viewing period. I didn't say Richardson was special, but I do think he has the potential to be pretty good at least eventually based on his film, my guess is you will be significantly better at QB once he takes over. I imagine Jones will get the hook sometime during your prostate exam from Bama and will ride the pine for the remainder of the season.
