I am guessing after Tuesday's scrimmage, we will be down to 2 QBs in the race with 1 leader. I am really starting to drink the kool-aid....basically like I do around this time every year.

Dude Milton did not lose the job because of injury. If that were the case he would have been the starter now. How does that even make sense. The other guy isnt exactly a good qb. He was told he needed to look elsewhere yet he would be playing for Michigan.

If Milton was told to look around because he didn't have the starting job and comes here and is probably the front runner, what does that say about HB? He's probably behind Milton & couldn't even beat out JG last year.

Because they're both at least 4th on the depth chart. TE and LB are thinner and Whitehead was a much better LB in HS. Matter of fact he was a high 4 star

Honestly he should be behind 1 guy hasnt been in college three years, Bailey also didnt get a spring last year and well you know what kinda dumbass we had for a head coach. With all that said you didn't think about any of that before you wrote this post. There are no excuses, I am a Vol fan and if it is Milton i hope he wins the heisman and we go to the playoff. The throw in the video was impressive and hope if hes the guy, which he probably is that he plays that way on game days.

If it’s Milton, I’d expect Bailey to be out the door.

He's young, his time will come soon. Stick with Heupel and be patient. He will play on Sundays.

I mean, it was just a couple of seasons ago when Jennings had to play QB because literally all of our QBs were hurt. 3rd string is still a strong possibility to play. Especially with COVID able to make someone unavailable for a couple weeks if they contract it.

That's a great point about Covid, I had not thought of that. Used to be you only worried about injuries. Now you never know who's going to cough and suddenly QB 2 is playing.

I was just looking up this same info just now. I got curious about it since sjt18 mentioned it. Pulaski joined August 2018...a few months after Fulmer was hired as AD. Always pumping sunshine about Fulmer and Pruitt. I think he was someone inside the athletic dept posing as a fan. Pulled out when all the stuff hit the fan in January of this year. No more work to do, no boss to represent. Why else would he quit posting all of a sudden? Used to post all the time.

Why is everyone so damn pissy? For the first time in at least a decade we have a LEGIT QB competition. I will be “all in” on whoever wins here, they all seem to be much better choices than the last decade+ (minus Dobbs).

It had me thinking - isn’t it good to have different body types on the DL? Wouldn’t you want some huge space eaters in certain situations instead of thinner, quicker linemen? Seems to me that it would be good to have a bunch of different kinds of tools in the toolbox

That isn't technically true, but it also isn't the point. The point is that even if HB loses the job he is a play away from winning the job back. Transferring and guaranteeing a year out of football would be silly considering he will almost certainly still play this season even if Milton wins the job.

So, Milton said he injured his thumb in the Michigan st. Game, which was the 2nd game of the season. He got benched a couple of games later. Then ended up getting surgery on said thumb…. How the hell is that not technically true?

Sure but he weighs 350lbs!!! Like RG said, that doesn’t work anymore. I would guess he needs to get down to 320-330 at least, maybe less considering his height. He would still be plenty big but much quicker
