Princeton Fant looked to be as about full-go as we’ve seen so far while Miles Campbell was a bit under the weather Monday morning, but still was out here giving it a go.
Alex Golesh spent several minutes during individual, going 1-on-1 time with freshman Julian Nixon – preaching ‘effort’ while showing proper blocking techniques.
Velus Jones, who was nursing a sore hamstring at the end of last week, was back in individual drills today
The quarterbacks looked to be in numerical order once again today with lowest number to highest. That said, I thought both Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton threw the ball very well today. Both crisp and on the money during routes-on-air featuring comebacks, ins, outs and slants.
Again, both Hooker and Milton looked sharp getting the ball down field on go’s, seams and deep posts.
Harrison Bailey looked to be a bit off today while media was present – misfiring high and behind on a couple of occasions.
Dayne Davis was getting a lot of work at right tackle today with Cade Mays looking on. Could he be the swingman? Darnell Wright was the first one up at left tackle today during periods 0-2.
A note of importance, newcomer Kamal Hadden – who had been off to the side the majority of camp so far – looked sharp and clean during circuits. It will be imperative for he and Brandon Turnage to get in shape and provide depth at cornerback.

For the defense, warm ups were again about forcing turnovers as they went through their turnover circuit that features 5 different stations. And the stations aren’t the same every day.
Tennessee appears to be healthy on defense as no one appeared to be out or limited, with the exception of Morven Joseph who was off to the side doing minor work while media was present.
Offensively, K’Rojhn Calbert wasn’t dressed but was on the practice field. Based off people we have spoken with Calbert is dealing with a torn bicep and is thought to be lost for the season. Calbert could come back in 2022 if he wants to, but that’s a decision he doesn’t have to make at this point.
At quarterback, it’s hard to say there is any true pecking order, but it looked like Milton, Hooker and Bailey at least during the time we were there were getting more reps than Maurer but we got a very small sample size.

Dayne Davis, who has been at left tackle, joined Cade Mays in getting work at right tackle, where big freshman William Parker also got reps in individual drills. At left tackle, the trio was Darnell Wright, RJ Perry and Jeremiah Crawford.
Three players were limited to working on the side with the strength and conditioning staff during the open-viewing portion of practice: Wide receiver Jimmy Holiday, freshman Kaemen Marley and linebacker William Mohan, the transfer from Michigan.
Freshman running back Jaylen Wright also was present and going through drills.
Routes-on-air was much crisper than the end-zone disaster from Friday as the throws were more accurate and weren't many drops, though Walker Merrill had one on a low-but-catchable pass from Milton on a comeback. JaVonta Payton also couldn't come down with a deep ball from Maurer and was punished with push-ups after the rep.
Speaking of the deep ball, Hooker threw two beautiful ones to Jones and then to Cedric Tillman. Milton hit Ramel Keyton in stride and Bailey slightly overthrew his intended target as the quarterbacks finally let it fly for a moment during routes-on-air. Overall Hooker and Milton looked the sharpest during the early-practice work.

Cade Mays and Dayne Davis were getting some work at right tackle, as Darnell Wright, Jeremiah Crawford, and RJ Perry were working at left tackle.
I thought the QB’s looked better today in routes with WR’s, especially in the out-patterns. Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton seemed more accurate across the middle and on the boundaries, but this was only in a select portion of viewing. Harrison Bailey had his moments, as the QB competition will only pick up from here.
The WR’s seemed to have an excellent few periods while we were out there, as Velus Jones Jr. was a full participant after using a few practices last week to keep his workload down.
Aaron Willis’ mobility is impressive, and he probably moves better laterally than any other linebacker. He’s small, but it will be fascinating to see how he factors in the mix. LaTrell Bumphus looks good after losing the back half of his 2020 season to a leg injury. He’s a bit of a tweener between a four-down lineman end and tackle but appears big enough to hold up in the middle.
Tyler Baron got a few extra reps in defensive line drills. Morven Joseph did one exercise with the defensive line working on pass rushing. After that, he worked with the inside linebackers for the rest of the media viewing period.

I'm always delighted to see "1st" posts wrong.

If you check the time stamp, my reply is actually listed before Fingers' original post, that's how good I am, haha!!! (The 2nd post with video was merged in).

Edit: Ok, so the time was listed as older but now is not, VolNation must exist in a weird place within the space time continuum.
