If there was any remaining argument about accuracy mattering, this US Open has killed it. Power is the only thing that matters off the green.

You can only lengthen existing courses by so much. The US Open tricks out the course to require literal pin point accuracy. Standardize the ball for starters to help reign in the power.

I think the course is playing pretty well. Greens are almost perfect open difficulty. Do wish they'd grow the rough out a bit more along the fairways.. shouldn't be able to advance it more than 100 yds. They'll get it right at Torrey next year.. that rough will be brutal.

They put a premium on hitting the fairways only to watch the top of leaderboard littered with guys not hitting fairways.

Because the greens are undulated, double-rolled and slicker than snot. And the spin you can get with the new 5 layer balls even out of the rough help you have touch around the greens when you’re still hitting wedges in

I don't know. Guys are hitting more than wedges into position on the greens. Maybe it's the ball. I think it's the power and proximity.

Todd hit a high % of fairways today with no success. Granted putting is still everything. But, Wolff hit 2 fairways, I believe, and shot 5 under. Ridiculous.
