Not an advocate for Lane Kiffin ever. I do recognize that he is an offensive guru but I am not one of the people asking for him to come back to Tennessee. I blame him for the mess we are in. He single handily destroyed the University of Tennessee by leaving the way he did.
Wouldn't it be cool if the guy who 'single handily (sic) destroyed it' could single handedly restore it?

Absolutely, maybe that is why he makes mistakes in game situations like not going for fg when it would put us within one score. He had his mind on things he should let his cord. take care of and him thinking of the game as a hc

Actually the one who hired him did this, by not having a better contract with a huge buyout if he left before contract was up.

We need to make cheap hires with the expectation that 2021 will be Pruitt’s last season. 1 year contracts- Cheapest fill-ins we can get. If we’re going 6-6 we might as well not overpay for it.

Without drastic improvements mainly at qb, we won't go 6-6 next year. I noticed Vandy gave Ky a much better game than we did, we may not win another game if we don't get a qb in the game who is a passing threat, because everyone is going to stack the los to stop the run with jg.

Guys a dang good defensive coordinator
Right! He's an incredible DC. Like CJP, he's in a little deep as a HC, but as a DC, he's excellent. Hey look haters, once CJP is fired, we can retain him on the cheap, thanks to USC. Maybe our next 2 year victim will want to keep him as DC and help us out with the JP buyout..

His last season as a DC in 2015 Auburn finished in the bottom 4 in the SEC in yards allowed, points allowed, sacks and forced turnovers, and 76th nationally in total defense, once he left it finished 6th the next year. Before that his last season as a DC was at Texas in 2010, Texas finished 50th nationally in total defense. His last top 10 finish as a DC was in 2007.

At South Carolina his defense is ranked 104th currently and was ranked 53rd or lower 3 of the last 4 seasons. It's been well below Tennessee's defense the last two years.

Any defensive prowess he had seems to have passed him by and was a part of the old era of football vs the new, wide open, offense wins era we are currently seeing.
