I don't know if more spots than 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 13, and 14 can be determined before Miss/MSU is over. Not worth the trouble to analyze all of the tie breaker scenarios right now. I think that MSU takes the #4 from Florida with a win (Go Bulldoggies).

Alabama does not have a lot of inside depth so if we can foul their bigs out and keep Petty from going off for 30 points, I like Tennessee's chances of surviving and advancing to Friday.

Does anyone know which sections were designated to which schools? I know Thursday will be lightly attended but thinking about going and don’t want to buy in a Bama allotment section.

We get KY again if we beat Bama? Ugh... even if we somehow are able to beat KY, we won’t have the energy to win more games. Remember last year? We beat KY to get to the Title game but we ran out of fuel.

I still think if we beat Bama and Kentucky we’re in. I really don’t want to play Kentucky again though. For my health’s sake.

Nah, we needed to beat AU to make that case or win the SECT outright. Good news is that if we do somehow beat KY we’d be a number 1-2 seed with NIT!

Just spitballing, but I think winning Thursday guarantees an NIT invitation, winning Friday gets to the 2nd 4 out, winning Saturday gets to the 1st 4 out, and minus a ton of luck and fortunate outcomes by enough other bubble teams, it's going to take 4 wins in the SECT to make the NCAAT field.
Yes.. the ONLY way for big dance. If we had beaten AU, we wouldn’t even have to win a single SECT game to make the tourney. That was our last legit case

Obviously if we get past Bama our odds are doubled. If we get past UK our odds are just shy of 20% with a 42% chance of winning the semifinal.

What's the deal w Hagans? He's so emotionally broken that he had to take a "mental health day" against Florida but is going to be fine to play on Friday? Seems weird

I have no insider info on this, but based on the rumor that he was insubordinate against Cal against us, I would guess that he was unofficially actually given a one game suspension from Cal that doubled as a chance to get his head on straight before the home stretch of the season
