This is my review of the 2020 roster. In short it's the best looking roster we've had in 15 yrs IMHO. Talent and depth at every position and level for the 1st time in a while. Finally looks like a upper level SEC team again. Both lines of scrimmage experience, depth and a lot of talent. Quality depth and talent at the RB position. Depth and talent finally at the LB positions. CB and Safety position is loaded. WR could be the weakest position on the team and that's just being picky. Going to come down to QB play for sure! We have experience and quality depth at QB now. Would be great to add JT Daniels to this group and then the QB positions makes us a contender. JMHO at this point!

See attached 2020 depth chart.

No doubt that the roster has improved, it certainly had room for it. I hope we get to play this season, who knows?

If given time I think CJP can get it done. Maybe time to win one we are not supposed to win. There are still going to be losses that will upset us all(Ga St). The program is moving in the right direction and if ADPF can continue to keep the peace with the big boosters, I look for good things coming.

With the quarterbacks we have, we don’t need JT. If we can’t get it done with what we have we need a new quarterback coach. Just saying. 🤔
Don’t disagree but you never turn away a legit 5* QB especially one that’s worked with one of our coaches already and one of our WRs!

If he's so legit why is he transferring?
Injured 1st game last year. Fresh start. Dude started at USC as a 17 early Hs grad. Should’ve been playing HS but was staring at Southern California! See attachments! #1 player in 2018. Recruiting class. Our boy T recruited him!

This chart is missing most incoming players. I assume only early enrollees are listed

QB is our biggest question mark. Unfortunately that’s the most important position.

Same reason why Jacob Eason, Justin Fields, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts ect. transfered
You just named 4 out of thousands that have done it over the years. .025 success rate is not a gamble a team should take when the QB room is already full. You folks are dreaming and hoping for miracles to happen.

I never said if he would be a success or not. I didnt even say i wanted him. I said he transferred for the same reason those 1000 others did. They either wanted playing time or to be closer to home. By the way.... If u dnt know who your Qb is it dnt matter how many are on your roster.

Who says we don't know who our QB is going to be? I think most believe it's JG.

Has Coach named JG the starter and i missed it??? Key word is believe. Knowone knows for sure. Heck our coaches dnt even know who is going to start at Qb from one game to the next thats why its called a "Qb Competition". As bad as we need better Qb play whats adding one more option going to hurt?? The fact that u even know how many Qbs are on the roster should let u know how bad we need someone to step up and to assume JG is the starter after watching the last 3 years suggests we need as many options as possible.

JG would not have returned if he thought he wasn't going to be the guy and Pruitt would not have kept him to be a backup here. Pruitt has played the QB position perfectly I feel. He's finally got a complete team, and just like Bama back in the day his system doesn't rely solely on the QB. Bama has had mediocre QBs win more championships than they've had stud QBs win them. Hell, even our stud QB, surrounded by tremendous talent, never produced a National Championship. Unless the season's start is delayed and a ton of practice time added I can't see anyway possible JG doesn't start game 1 and 2 if healthy. I think he's been the unquestioned starter since the Ky win and rightly so. You may not want to admit it but I bet you would not place a large wager betting against JG starting. I guess there are fans out there that think their opinions are getting to Coach Pruitt and actually persuading him to play anyone but JG, I think the reality is that Pruitt will make his decision based off production, wins, leadership, toughness, grit, work ethic health...and who he thinks will give us the best chance to win that day. I'm betting that if he's healthy it'll be JG the 1st 2 games, who do you think it will be?

Man im not trying to be one of those JG bashers bc i really respect that kids toughness but i will call it like i see it. U are basing your opinion off 1 or 2 games. He may very well start games 1 and 2 but that doesnt mean he will start the entire year so that makes him a place holder. That Bama comparison was not a good one. Bama did win with mediocre QB's but their roster wasnt just talented it was elite at every single position. They sending 8-10 guys to the NFL every year. They got 5 star recruits waiting 2-3 years to play. When did we ever finish with 5 straight #1 recruiting classes?? NEVER so it aint the same situation. We dnt need Joe Montana at Qb we just need someone who won't make freshman mistakes in their 3rd year. U are right that u dnt need a stud Qb to have success but u do need a competent one. Tee Martin wasnt some super prolific passer but he also wasnt going to give the game away and made the plays that counted. JG still being on campus doesnt mean squat especially when coach has publicly stated its a competition. It dnt matter what he did after the KY game bc the other qbs were either hurt or weren't even on the roster yet so who else was supposed to take the snaps. Coach is playing his hand exactly like he is supposed to when u are not sold on the other guys. I think we are all more confident in JG then BM or Shrout. He wins that by default. We also dnt wanna throw HB to the wolves if we dnt have too. We know Holiday is not ready and we are not sure whats going on with Hill so why not bring in a guy who could push JG. It just sounds to me like u would rather settle with what u have rather then turn over every single stone to be sure.
