2020 record

I'm certainly not predicting 10-0, but we now have the talent, depth, and coaching to be in any game against any opponent. In other words, no automatic losses. However, I would say the absolute basement is 5-5, maybe 6-4.

We don’t have good QB play. That is the most important player on the team and Pruitt is going into year 3 without a QB that can win big games. We have 3 big games on our schedule every year and JG has looked bad in all 9 he has played in.

And had the talent to be 10-3. Last year will haunt Pruitt until he is fired. If he had removed the bad apples before the season started he would have had a 10 win season in year 2.
.
We were blown out against the big three.
Sucked against Ga St and BYU
8-5 is fact.
Talent for 10-3?
With the win against mighty Vandy, we improved to 5-5 against them for the last ten games.
The program talent(though improving) is probably closer to that level than ten wins.
I refuse to pump the sunshine until we get competitive with the big three, cupcake wins don't matter.

I heard strength of schedule would help determine cross division opponents, in that case, I see us at 8-2, 7-3.. losses to Bama, Ugga. And LSU if we add them

I’m the opposite of a sunshine pumper. We had the talent to easily beat GA State and would have beat BYU if we kicked field goals. At 9-3 we would have gone to the same bowl game so I’m assuming the same result and that gives us a 10 win season. It would have been an ugly 10 wins but would have helped in recruiting and been something good to build on.

9-3 would of gave us the same bowl game as 7-5? Weird to think about but maybe

Defense will be top 5 in the conference. If Mays is available, we should have a really strong running game which will take pressure off JG. Games where the D can't stop anyone and the run game isn't working are how we get blown out by the big guys. We have the talent on the lines to control the tempo and allow JG to only have to make easy throws and utilize play action. We may go 0-4 in the big games, but I think we will keep it respectable and possibly win one.

Remember, UK got upset that Fulmer pulled rank and got UT put in the Gator Bowl b/c we had the best SEC record of that tier of bowl games. The Texas Bowl has a stipulation that the SEC should always take a West team if available so they were always going to pick A&M over us. Next bowl up was the Outback bowl and they took Auburn. We would have had the same record as Auburn, but they had just beaten Bama and had a win over Oregon. Both are better than any of UT’s wins so Outback would have still wanted them and the SEC would have considered them a better team.

It sounds crazy but 7-5 got us the exact same bowl game as 9-3 would have.
