I actually don’t own a red hat , all of mine except one has a T or Vols or Tennessee on them . I like to show the love everywhere I go .

As a Vol fan, I see it as my duty to represent. Just be prepared to hear "Hook em Horns!" if you are out west. That has happened to me in Vegas. It's pretty galling.

My Dad ran the shipping dock at a Caterpillar facility he had every trucker hat with a logo at one time . I have one “ somewhere “ I think , I’ve always worn a Tennessee cap , except for a short time they tried making wear a Cat hat. I wore a Kamatsu hat in and they stopped bugging me about my Tennessee hat after that .

Its funny I have wore Tennessee hats so long I forget that I have it on until somebody says something like that . Going north and East nobody really cares but south and west I’ve gotten some trash talk lol

I was in charge of the shipping/receiving dept at the manufacturing plant I worked for a couple years. My favorite trucking company at the time was Milan Express..... along w/Saia trucking.

It is a crock....It is "tribalism"..Trump is a uniquely unqualified/incompetent for the position, but He is preternaturally skilled at using the media to help, encourage and create the binary divisions you just referenced. He is Vince McMahon-a skilled carnival promoter. But, trump is terrible at this precarious moment ---disdain for democratic norms, open corruption, and the outright promotion of division. If you view hyperpolarization as a threat to the American experiment trump is dangerous by any measure.

I would propose that the American people have lost any historical context --if we ever had any-- of a truly terrible president. I am pointing to the recent rehabilitation of Bush in the media who I would posit accelerated the decline and the last vestiges of trust in government/institutions that has lead us to this sorry point. The Bush presidency was unquestionably horrible. It now seems a lot to ask the American people to remember how utterly criminal the lead-up/prosecution of the Iraq war, Katrina, and the impotent response to the Great recession. This now is ancient history for the majority of Americans---and here we are. I would hope/imagine many posters on this board voted for Bush 2x and MAY admit this mistake.
