No he didn't, you are misconstruing what he did, which was a sound decision on his part. He said they could build in any area except literally right next door to the center providing abortion services. He did it to reduce violence between both groups, it is right there in his remarks, backed up by studies that he quoted.Yea Saint Peter let zoning get in the way saving babies lives. Good call
On the other hand my 3rd grandchild was born today
Thankfully my daughter was raised to respect life and he wasn’t born in Pete’s district!

He protected a woman's right to choice, while also allowing an alternative, religious based service to exist anywhere in the city except right next door to the abortion provider. All while reducing violence and privacy concerns between the two groups. He even told them there were numerous properties, already zoned for their use, in the same neighborhood.
He handled it perfectly, with empathy and concern for all parties involved. Yet another testament to his leadership abilities.
He did it to protect people, uphold the law (abortion is legal, he has no choice in that as a mayor), and provided numerous places for the other group to be in the same neighborhood to provide their services. He handled it perfectly. So a choice between life and death right next door is bad? Wow Zep
I noticed your concern for all but the babies in your post. Your priorities are shite!

He can't change abortion law as a mayor. He doesn't have a choice in that. He made a thoughtful, nuanced decision to protect his constituents from violence while giving voice to both sides of the debate, as well as allowing options from both sides of the debate to exist in South Bend. He did handle it perfectly. Pete isn't a normal politician. He found a way to bridge the divide. It is a testament to his leadership abilities and intelligence.I understand your opinion. We simply disagree on the protection of psycho activists on both sides who may do harm to one another over the sanctity of life for the unborn., for whom Pete handled it “perfectly”.
I'm with you there. There are at least 20 that are better than him, and that doesn't even count the candidates that the GOP is screwing over by not allowing primaries against the Lord Red Hat. That bag of trash I just took out is better than Trump.Voting for a block of dry ice is worth it if it gets rid of the cancer that is Donald Trump.

Right. Finding a solution to a problem that suits everyone involved suddenly makes him a weak panderer. Pete isn't Trump. He actually solves problems instead of bitching and calling people names. He is more of a leader and unifier than Trump could ever dream of being.Maybe he should spread public housing out throughout the city so they’re not right next door to one another to curb violence. Maybe a unit in his neighborhood or better yet right next door to his home. The dude is incapable of leadership and is simply a weak, far left, lib panderer.

So Trump is President because he is a weak leader that can not even get his own party to agree on anything? Or is Trump President because he can't effectively lead and reach a solution between two completely different viewpoints? Or is Trump President because he insults people and cries when he is criticized? That’s why Trump is president and Pete never will be. Pete is the farthest thing from a leader or unifier just go ask his own police department.
