2020 Presidential Race

The question wasn't specifically about "free" healthcare. Maybe that's what they all meant., but asking if their proposals would include coverage for undocumented immigrants, doesn't necessarily equate to free.

I'm sure it will be the hot topic of the future debates, though.

No its not free, you and I will pay for it.

There are some simpletons who actually believe this. Unfortunately, one is president.
The President of the United States should absolutely but the U.S. far and away above any other country. That's the job. Not sure how that results in anyone being a simpleton. Not everyone believes in globalism.

Of course the president should put the USA first. Most just have the intellect to know these agreements with others (like Japan, Korea, and NATO) benefit, not hurt us. You would have to be an idiot to only be able to look at it in terms of pure dollars and cents.

They just want someone to “own the libs.”

It’s why they frequently throw out words like “loony” or “radical” to discuss things that objectively make sense and are in widespread use throughout the world. If reality isn't on their side, then reality is the problem and they won’t abide by its rules. They’re more than happy to let the country suffer for it.

Do we really want to go the route of comparing our country to other countries? Just because they have policies you agree with, does that make them better off than the U.S.? Lots of ideas sound great, but in reality, are just not feasible. I'm not sure you're truly seeing reality for what it is.

Then make that case. Plenty of people try to, but as republicans find themselves on increasingly tenuous ground, they simply start throwing out terms like “socialism” to frighten the volfanjustin types. It’s no better than using the race card to get out of an argument you’re losing.

Effectively putting the US above any other country entails understanding and acknowledging both the short-term and long-term necessity of proper foreign relations. (Trump is grossly lacking)

If one side gets more out of it than the other, it's not really beneficial. Trump has tried to renegotiate deals to be more beneficial to the U.S. If making a deal means letting someone take advantage of us, that's not a good deal.

The PRC and Russia highly endorse this message and hope Trump pulls out of these “bad deals” as soon as possible.

lol Exaggerate much? Like I said, you don't make a deal simply to have a deal. That's idiotic. It has to be mutually beneficial. The U.S. shouldn't be the world's bitch. That seems to be what your proposing, which would fit, I guess, with the idea of globalism.

So he should give Iran $400 billion and drop all sanctions? WWBD (what would Barry do).

Imagine actually thinking this

Try explaining your position better then. Should the U.S. continue with deals that have little to no benefit to them? Should they carry the load for organizations like NATO while other member nations skirt their responsibilities? People form alliances because they are beneficial, not just because.

This is a delusion.
Explain reparations then. In an ideal world, I could fully support things like free healthcare and free higher education. Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world so you have to take into consideration how these things would be funded. But reparations? I see no logical argument for paying people money for something they never experienced.

The reparations idea is very much a delusion.
