2020 Presidential Race

That's a good point and I imagine you are right. Its really a matter of turnout. The question this go 'round is:

1) We know that the Trump base is fervent and will be there. But some significant portion of his voting block in '16 showed up to vote AGAINST Clinton, not so much FOR Trump. So if the Dems nominate Biden, and not someone as polarizing as HRC, it is reasonable to expect that some part of that group of anti-HRC voters will simply not show up.

2) HRC did particularly poorly with black voters in terms of turnout, at least relative to Obama. That's why I think Biden picks Harris to be his VP. A black woman VP, but one who is pro law enforcement and not threatening to that group in # 1 above.
This time, i am voting FOR Trump.

Reparations over slavery is an incredibly silly topic to be having a hearing over in 2019 and a horrible look for Democrats... and yes, Obama was responsible for stirring this pot several years ago. Now, having said that, the best play for Republicans would be to just sit back and let the Democrats make fools of themselves right now ... but you can always count on some idiot like this guy to make Republicans look just as dumb by calling abortion "black genocide" under the topic of "Facts". That is overplaying a hand, when no hand even need be played.

That is a nice sum for Trump but it does include money that went to joint fund-raising operations with the Republican National Committee. The Democratic National Committee hasn't begun fund-raising for one specific candidate as of yet... and won't until the primary season is over. So, that is a little misleading.

Are you talking about The Great Depression? It was a close call, wasn't it?
From all the contributing factors I've read about it was a perfect storm waiting to happen. My family on both sides survived it pretty well because of their jobs, the railroad. Credit standards loosened, over extension of non credit worthy sources, over production of agriculture, Fed protecting the gold standard, then tightening of credit forcing payoffs, Fed raising rates, very little regulation in place on banks, loss of faith in banks, unemployment rocketed, consumer spending halted.... Perfect storm after the roaring 20's.
I'm not a financial guru at all, i find it rather dry reading. An A in accounting has not served me at all, i don't even know how i passed. Just leads me to believe i have a great deal of reading to do and things to learn.

Hey! You're back. Can we pick up where we left off this morning?
Which post?

Edit: I assume here?

I don't know if I am missing something in your reply since it is in quotes. Also, don't know how this answers my question is there anything else you would like offer as an offset to the expanded spending on social programs.

By the way, I applaud a huge reduction in the military budget in principle.

LOL says the guy who ain't moving to DNC current values Venezuala anytime soon...
I'm not moving anywhere. Thankfully, we have a constitution that guarantees the halfwit will be out of the office before I turn 35, so I remain confident his damage won't be permanent.

Sorry but that goes right up there with "Drain the Swamp!" The National Rifle Association (NRA) is the epitome of a large and very powerful "special interest group" and Trump has pandered to them and he has aggressively sought their support.

HELLO........Politician!

Are you going to buy my ticket and new housing? I may be down with moving!

Don't disrupt the forum narrative with facts.
