I heard an interview yesterday on the WNML, can't remember who, but they said we have 21 signed and 2 spots available. So this makes sense.

Basically because we had 2 transfers in Cade Mays and WR from USC West. Technically I think we can have 26 this year.

So if both Beckwith and Wideman sign football scholarships but also play basketball how does that work? Do they get 1 scholarship but count to both sports limits

This is and has been a great class! I know several of you will complain and moan about not being in the top 5 or 10 but this is a top 10 class. There are 4 teams in the top 15 that signed more than 25 players not including transfers (3 schools in the top 10), Tennessee won't be doing that this year. If we were able to include the 3 transfers we have this class along with the 23 signees in our class scoring we would 100% be a top 10 probably even a top 5 class. Give this staff some credit and get excited about the fall.....it's about to be FUN!!!

Football will pay for everything. Walk on at basketball. Many football programs had scholarship track athletes back in early 90s.

I get that, but I don't believe analysts think it finishes there since 10-15 are so close and some of the other schools are not finished. I was basically referring to how most expect it to finish.

Wideman shows as hard commit to basketball now but no Beckwith so he must be running track as 2nd sport maybe.

#8 on Rivals is great...but man ....ESPN has us 19. Sec network too since sec uses espns rankings. I'd like to believe Rivals is more accurate. Lol.

Due to the Bear Bryant rule, if you play football it has to be the one that extends the scholarship. Bryant used to load up other sports with football players. In 1975 the NCAA eliminated the practice.

We can make up over 100 points on S&C and good developmental coaches. Clemson did.

I hope I am not being misunderstood...I love this class and think this staff will use this class to beat the Big Boys. My post was referring to people I have seen complain about this class and our lack of strong recruiters.
