Rules are relatively the same. I've decided to cut the bonuses outside of the pole pick and winner (makes it simple and streamlined)

2020 NASCAR Top 6 Pick'Em Contest Rules

1. Pick the top 6 finishers in each race and enter your picks in the appropriate thread each week. Picks must be in the order of how you think they will finish.

2. Picks are to be made from a seeded driver listing included in the entry thread. Drivers are split into three groups: A, B & C. You may ONLY PICK TWO drivers from each group. If a contestant picks 3 or more drivers from any group, then the highest finishing driver from that group will receive a score of 0.

3. There will be a Pole Position Pick thread for each event. Enter your pick for the pole winner and earn 5 bonus points for picking correctly.

4. As driver changes and drivers failing to qualify for races are common in Group C, contestants are responsible for making sure their picks are up to date before the deadline or risk receiving a 0 as a score for a driver not in the race. Updates will try to be given regularly to help avoid this. **Group C will include all drivers who are entered, even those ineligible to earn points (ex. Ross Chastain). If you pick one of these drivers I will calculate the points based off of finishing position. ex. 10th place earns 27 points, 30th place earns 7, etc.**

5. Entries must specify the exact driver in the case of those with identical last names (example - Kyle/Kurt Busch) Entries with last name only will be awarded the points of the lowest finishing driver. **This can be mitigated by using the driver's number**

6. All picks must be entered by the original listed deadline for each race and pole qualification, or in the event of a postponement, picks must be entered by the new listed deadline. In the event of a delay in the race that will be run on the original race day that doesn't have a set start time, picks must be entered before the start of the National Anthem. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!

7. Each race will have a tie-breaker pick which requires picking the finish position of a designated driver. If there is a tie for the winner, the contestant who most closely picked the finishing position of the tiebreaker will win. If there is a tie in the tiebreaker, then the person who made their picks first will be the winner.

Contest Format

1. Picking the pole position winner will earn 5 points. Note: If qualifying is canceled, there will be no bonus.

2. Picking the race winner will earn 5 points.

3. Driver points are based on official NASCAR points awarded per finishing position, stage points, and bonus points.

Championship Rules

The contest will follow the same format as the NASCAR Championship.

1. The top 15 drivers with the most wins over the first 26 races will earn a spot in the playoffs – provided they have finished in the top 30 in points. The 16th playoff position will go to the points leader after race No. 26, if he/she does not have a victory. In the event that there are 16 or more different winners over 26 races, the only winless driver who can earn a playoff spot would be the points leader after 26 races.

2. As the start of the playoffs, each eligible driver’s point total is reset to 2000 points, plus the total number of playoff points they earned during the regular season.

3. Playoff points are also awarded during each round of the playoffs.

4. At the start of each following round of the playoffs, the points are again reset (3000, 4000, and 5000) among eligible drivers and playoff points are added to that amount, with the exception of the Championship race at Homestead-Miami.

5. For the championship race, the final four drivers start with 5000 points, earn no bonus points, and the highest finisher is the Champion.

Byron and Bowyer would be my only swaps without looking at last year’s final standings.
11th for WB and 9th for CB. 5 poles for WB, 1 for CB. Top 5's are closer than Top 10's.

WB is trending up, CB down (IMO). TBH, Erik Jones has a better case for A than either of them (1 win, more Top 5's than both, CB has one more Top 10).

I'm trying to keep A and B about the same number wise. If I went by the final standings, Kurt Busch would be B.

I’m good with your analysis. Can always adjust 1/4 of the way in or so.

I would like to move up one more to B honestly. The 3 best candidates (IMO) are Reddick, Custer or Bell. They won 6, 7, and 8 Xfinity races respectfully. Realistically, Reddick or Custer because they are in good equipment

I would go with Custer in B. That’s just me though. Glad to have racing back. If you want me to help with results and stuff just let me know. I’ll be glad to help when you need it.

Poor Jimmie Johnson. Never thought I’d see the day he’d be relegated to a B list driver.

He’s gonna be the new Clint Bowyer for the B class. We’ll all be picking him.

If you think a B group driver or C group driver will win the race, you got to list him number 1 in your picks 1-6 right, like if you list a driver say 3 and he wins the race you won't get the 5 bonus points.

That’s the way I understood it. You have to pick the winner to win to get the bonus.

I’m expecting Bell to take off in that 20 car this year especially with the flipping of the crews from 18
