does it seem that Tennessee - no matter the staff is always one of the latest to release a schedule

This is what we do know conference wise

3/13-3/15
3/20-3/22
3/26-3/28 LSU at home. (Thur-Sat)
4/3-4/5
4/10-4/12 at Alabama (Easter Weekend)
4/17-4/19 Florida at home
4/24-4/26 at Georgia
5/1-5/3
5/8/2019 at Texas A&M
5/14/2019 Arkansas at home (Thur-Sat)

I suspect opening weekend will be either Vanderbilt or Kentucky at home. And 5/1-5/3 will be the other
3/20 should be at Missouri
4/3 should then be at South Carolina

So based on those thoughts

3/13-3/15 Kentucky at home (or possibly Vanderbilt)
3/20-3/22 at Missouri
3/26-3/28 LSU at home. (Thur-Sat)
4/3-4/5 at South Carolina
4/10-4/12 at Alabama (Easter Weekend)
4/17-4/19 Florida at home
4/24-4/26 at Georgia
5/1-5/3 Vanderbilt at home (or possibly Kentucky)
5/8/2019 at Texas A&M
5/14/2019 Arkansas at home (Thur-Sat)

We skip the Mississippi schools this season and Auburn. Vols are done with the division the first weekend in May
It would be nice if the Orange and White game were on 4/18 during the Florida series. The Tennessee relays are 4/9-4/11 on Easter Weekend but I don't know if the O&W has ever been on Easter weekend before.

If you're going to play on road for 2 weekends, Alabama would be the best choice for the 2nd series.

I know there are rumors on out of conference series but I'll wait for the release on those.

The weekends have been posted somewhere that I saw in news article. Feb 14-16 Western Illinois, Feb 21 Texas Tech, Feb 22 Houston, Feb 23 Stanford, Feb 28-Mar 1 George Washington, Mar 6-7 Wright State. I was told this weekend that they are home for every weekday game except at Smokies Stadium and 1 other weekday game. No dates or teams announced yet.

Will CTV take a page out of CRB's playbook and schedule difficult OOC games every season to ensure getting into the College World Series?

Not nearly as important in baseball because of so many SEC games in baseball. Not saying it doesn’t help but having a winning SEC record is much more important

Yeah I think the keys to schedule strength is scheduling the right mid majors. Tennessee had a top 5 of strength of schedule last year. The mid majors for the most part had good strength of schedules but you’re right with the power of the SEC you are pretty much guaranteed a top 20 strength of schedule.

Thanks for all the updates. Can’t wait to see the Vols twice in TX this season. Looks like me and Txbo will have to do some play by play.
