2019 Offensive Starting Lineup (with new recruits)

Some of his sacks and hits are DEFINITELY JGs FAULT. And for you to pretend otherwise is ridiculous. Basic assumptions are what any of us have to make or their wouldn’t be a point of having discussions on a message board. Good grief. Get some rest. You must be exhausted carrying all of JGs water.
There is no point in this. I'm done.

almost.......if Trey Smith is healthy, then Wanya beats out Richmond. with Kennedy at Center, maybe Richmond can play guard. if Smith does not return, then Richmond starts, of course.
I thought Kennedy only had one year to play. Is he allowed a medical redshirt as a grad transfer? I hope he is.

Not with proper coaching.

Of course that is assuming he will actually have an OC by spring practice.

IMO, if JG will learn to not "squeeze" the ball so much he can become a very effective leader of the offense. He doesn't seem to trust his receivers to be where they are supposed to be and sometimes wants them.to be open before he commits to the throw. Understandable but he needs a little bit of coaching up by Tyler Bray, a young man not afraid to throw it wherever and whenever he saw fit.

I like JG and still believe he can be developed to the point that allows the offense to be productive and score points. But it honestly depends on the coaching

Some games he shows up to ball, and others it's a soup sandwhich. I don't know if he is or is not our guy, but will trust in Pruitt's judgement.

OK I'll bite... Could he do better, yes. BTW its not up to him to prove he does... your contention is he is not and @DustyRockSolid said nobody posting here is on the LOS or on the sideline to hear what JG is doing and he is right unless you show me some video that says on this play he failed to recognize A and should have done B. So prove it with game film analysis and audio. I'll wait.

I do know that there are a substantial amount of times when the receivers, RBs, and TEs haven't done JG any favors running while he is scrambling for his life. Are there numerous times he held onto the ball too long trying to make a play or waiting for a receiver to clear on a long route that should have broken off? Absolutely. OR a back that should be sliding out into a flat instead of trying to block a 300lb DE the tackle missed. The other thing I will tell you from coaching OL for many years and specifically centers is that I don't see nearly enough communication between OLmen… but I can't hear what they are saying before the turnstiles open.

Are gonna stay with this? He got trucked most of the time... rarely did he do himself any favors by moving around to avoid the hits.

I wouldn't put Wright and Morris on the same side of the line. I think it'll expose that side and put the team at a disadvantage.

Is Wright going to play Guard or Tackle? If he's a guard, would rather see him on one side with Morris on tackle on the other.

Count Trey Smith out - highly doubtful he comes back.

LOL Fair enough, where I'm from "scrambling for his life" is a euphemism for he got trucked under the chin because he had defenders coming from all 8 points of the compass and all 54 states and didn't have anywhere to go. Better?
Running for his life would be a luxury on a lot of plays. That being said I guess if given a choice of having a QB that cuts and runs at the first sign of trouble or staying in the "pocket" trying to make a play i'll take the guy that wants to make a play cause he didn't have a lot of room to move on most plays. Watch some film on the OL and see that more often that not they get pushed back 3-4 yards off the LOS and when that happens you don't have anywhere to go. He's no Tua, for sure makes some bad decisions, could try to run more but until we get some guys that can stop the bum rush I don't know how much difference it makes.

Agree... that O-line was easy to push back into the pocket... they rarely worked in unison, and we pick on Richmond for a reason. Richmond did have a game or two where it appeared he was fired up and played well, but for the most part he was sieve at the position.
