Apparently some people have missed the last 2 seasons. Hope for 6-6, and be thankful if we get it. It doesn't matter what everyone else likes, it's our team that's the problem. It's gonna take another year to get better players in here and ready to compete Imo.

Depends on who we hire as OC. If we hire Enos or promote Friend. 4-8 or 5-7. A more competent OC hire would be 6-6 or 7-5.

The championship level coaches make a HUGE leap in year 2.

9-3 or we should accept "8 is enough" from now on. woo. hoo.

Aug. 31: Georgia State win
Sept. 7: BYU win
Sept. 14: Chattanooga win
Sept. 21: at Florida probable loss
Sept. 28: OPEN DATE
Oct. 5: Georgia loss
Oct. 12: Mississippi State win. They lose a lot
Oct. 19: at Alabama Loss
Oct. 26: South Carolina Win. It's just time
Nov. 2: UAB Tough win
Nov. 9: AT KENTUCKY Win. They lose a lot from a team that was not that good to start with
Nov. 16: OPEN DATE
Nov. 23: at Missouri Win. They have beat Tenn with the possible #1 pick at QB. They drop.
Nov. 30: Vanderbilt win. They lose the QB.

You're the first to mention MSU as a win, I think that game will be interesting. I'm curious to see if they have to rebuild or can reload. They're a stable program, even with a new coach. At home against a new QB I think we win a close one unless they rush for over 200.

I can see it from a few different ways. Anything less than 6 wins is an abject failure. No excuses.

6-7 Wins:
Better than last year.
Technically Improved.
Not impressive at all.

8-9 Wins:
Played up to a weak schedule.
Pretty big jump.
Impressive considering the last two seasons.

10-11 Wins:
Wow... no seriously wow!
Most impressive, but you are not a Jedi yet.

12 Wins:
I wake up or Pruitt is THE man.
O_O
My theory is to win in moderation! Do all things in moderation!

We have to go undefeated against our non-conference opponents to win 7 or 8 games which is not asking too much. BYU will present challenges for UT. If we win that game 7-5 or 8-4 is realistic. Lose that game and we probably go 6-6 praying to get a 7th win.
At this point, I still believe Vandy beats us yet again.

If we play like we did against UK and Auburn, we can win 9 games...

If we play like we did against Vandy and Mizzou, we are staring at 2-10....
So, law of averages....6 wins.

Saying slogans like "its a 9 win schedule," "vandy is an automatic win" etc just makes us fills better about were we are.

Essentially, yes. There are reasonable scenarios that we can go anywhere from 2-10 to 10-2 (I think we can lose to UAB and I still think we can beat UF) and I think a good median is 6-6. If we get a couple bounces, have a bit of luck, and improve on the coaching front, I can see 8-4 or even 9-3. If we play like we did at the end of the year, then a 2 or 3 win season is on the table...

I'm not willing to assume BYU yet. On the positive side this will be a good chance to finally get Muschamp. If TN sleepwalks into the game, UAB will give them fits as well. 6-6 subject to adjustment at any time.

Has anyone here offering predictions actually taken the time to look at the rosters of the teams we play to see how they did this year and what is lost compared to what is coming in? I have not and will not offer a next year prediction but everyone who wants to predict should take that time and do that research. I know Vandy loses a ton of seniors so how much have their replacements gotten to play? How many skilled players and linemen do they have coming back? That will greatly effect their play next year. Alabama and UGA are gonna be like this year so that is worthless research. I would be interested in the make up of the rosters on the rest of the schedule if someone wanted to take that time.
