2018 Midterm Election Thread

Maybe the election officials in Broward Co? Nah, they're victims.
If they are the problem... they could've been replaced by Scott or Detzner. The people at the top of the totem pole have oversight responsibility and should be accountable. If there is a victim here, it certainly isn't Scott.

It's not Scott if there are voter shenanigans? Are you serious? Because he didn't fire someone who might commit fraud before they had a chance to he deserves to be screwed out of an election win? Crazy ass logic.

The list of violations Golfballs posted are pretty recent - if a guy running for statewide election fires the election officials in an opposition county the year of the election people would scream bloody murder.

Uhhhh.... so when should she have been replaced? This morning? You can’t be this dumb

I agree with this. They could and should have been replaced already. Snipes and Broward has a history of shady things during election time. The one before her was removed also. The problem this time is that she’s violating the Florida Public Records Act. She was refusing to answer questions about where the ballots came from or how many are left. She was leaving the media and both sides in the dark while every few hours votes were pouring in

I do think Scott was over the line saying she’s making the ballots up tho, every ballot needs to be counted but the secrecy by Broward is garbage

Scott's problem with proactively replacing her as governor would be a perceived conflict of interest since he was running in an upcoming election.

It's just funny to me how people are kicking this up to the state level and saying if they didn't stop it then they have nothing to complain about. It's election integrity and everyone should be concerned about it.

his argument isn’t that she should have been replaced. His argument is that because she hasn’t been replaced any of her malfeasance is Scott’s fault and oh well!

Imagine the reaction from BowlBrother and the left if Scott had proactively replaced her.

She was caught breaking federal laws in 2016. She left an amendment off the ballot in 2016 also. There’s other instances too, there’s plenty of reasons she should have been gone long again. And if dems woulda complained about it oh well

Oh agree, I definitely think people should be complaining to a certain extent. But Scott also knew about her incompetence long before today

Oh I know, I was agreeing with his Scott isn’t the victim. And to a certain extent, they are to blame for her letting her incompetence go on for so long

You just have to consider how long this crap has been going on in south Florida. This is nothing new. Some fault does have to lie with the Governor. Who is ever going to fix this? It's been 18 years since they made international fools of themselves. Nothing has changed.

Also, hasn't been mentioned but Karen Handel (Georgia 6th district) went down today. This is Newt's former seat and it made national news a year ago with a close race against Jon Ossoff. Trump hailed that as a big victory at the time. She didn't last long in the House.

Several late results from House races are breaking the Dems way with more to come. And of course, still waiting on the Arizona Senate race. Still showing 83% reporting.... might be done by Thanksgiving - maybe.

Get these voting ballots out to Ga, Az and Fl ASAP... Nancy.

I am saddened at our local elections this year. People voted straight Republican and voted out those whose ideas totally turned around our rural county schools which had been in bad shape for years.

I think it's time we get rid of political parties and vote for individual people. Instead of voting party lines, we vote good candidates. That would be glorious. End the gridlock. Empty the swamp for real.

Not one solution, nor any idea in how to implement them. Not one campaign from anywhere offers ideas on how to solve any problem, just the same tired rhetoric with hollow promises about the issues.

The vast majority of these losers have never done anything in the private sector, or more importantly, built anything on their own from the ground up and been successful. Just look to Georgia for a shining example of an idiot of the highest order who can't even control her personal financial obligations, what do you think she will be like as a politician.....

The only thing that is going to change "politicians" is when statesmen and volunteer and duty are the driving force as was intended.
