2018 Midterm Election Thread

Trump to speak at 11:30 ET about the midterms.

I have this feeling he's going to troll the crap out of Democrats.

I’m sure he’ll spin this as a victory in the senate but looking at those Midwest gubernatorial results makes it look like he’s going to need to find a new path in 2020.

Unfortunately, the democrats seem perfectly happy to combat the Trump **** sandwich with a turd burger of their own. Looks like they’re going to have a two year hissy fit over trumps tax returns like the republicans did over Obamacare.

If the choice is driving into a ditch or over a cliff, I hope they choose the ditch. Will Trump compromise and negotiate in a civil way, or will he continue to be a divisive, lying jerk?
I'm now just waiting for the Mueller report.
So you want Americs to fail because President Trump hurts your feelz.

Again, the ditch is better than over the cliff. Trump will decide it he wants to turn and provide the option of staying on the road and moving forward. Currently he seems determined to limit the options to in the ditch or over the cliff.
The dimwit house doesn't care where the car is pointed. Pelosi will hit the gas in a Kamikaze attempt to kill Trump

Happy with the way things turned out. Dems were playing with a deck stacked against them and still took back the house and flipped a few governorships. Hopefully they can hold on for 2020 and undo a lot of the gerrymandering that occurred in 2010.

Trump may have to spend a little more of his time and energy in Mexico soliciting money. It just became less likely that you'll see funding for a wall anytime soon.

republicans did over Obamacare. -actual policy issue that effected a lot of Americans done behind closed door that made a problem worse.
over trumps tax returns -bishing and moaning that doesn't effect Americans in the slightest.

not an equal argument, at all.

If the torch really is given back to Pelosi, the Trump tweets are about to go up a notch.

Divided legislative branch is best case scenario, and the campaign ads are over, so I guess I should be happy with the result.

It's good for posterity that Trump's tweets are part of the Presidential record. Future historians are going to have an incredible day to day picture of his administration. I'm sure they will be able to present a strong against this ever happening again.
