2018 Midterm Election Thread

The republican ads in GA are insane. They play you guys like a bunch of imbeciles. Do any of you get offended by their opinions of what will energize the republican base?

Aren't all political ads pretty much insane? And I say that not giving a damn who wins the GA governor race because I live in TN.

Not sure who is more annoying.... Stacey Abrams when she gets excited and starts talking in her fast protestor voice or Brian Kemp when he turns up the drawl to remind me what a nice guy he is.

In the final week especially. Anything paid for by a PAC on either side tends to make my eyes almost roll out of my head.

No doubt. My airwaves are inundated with negative ads about Blackburn and Bredesen. Annoying as hell.

How about the guy who refused to recuse himself from his position as Georgia Secretary of State, so he could enforce the "exact match" law (since shot down by a Federal court) and do everything in his power to suppress the black vote in Georgia? A blatant conflict of interest.

Some more than others. They actually tell you a lot about what each candidate thinks of their base.

That's the narrative the left is going for at least.

You people mistake “education” for intelligence and wisdom.

You’re defending someone who is tens of thousands of dollars in the hole with the IRS and believes agriculture is not important in GA. LMAO
No, I was shooting down a stupid comment implying that she should be working in a bar.

They're almost as condescending as the pandering ads from the democrats. Look no further than John Barrow saying, "Ah'm a democrayut, but ah won't batcha."

I think they're pretty much the same regardless. Lob negative character attacks; exaggerate misstatements; reinforce the partisans and create turnout.

No one with a lick of intelligence would suggest that she believes agriculture is not important in GA. That's the perfect example of the rights's misinformation tactics. Just like she's going to take all the guns.

That's putting it nicely. I think they just throw **** against the wall and hope something sticks.

LOL. Yes, only the right uses misinformation tactics. You crack me up.

Do you find it to be inaccurate?
I think they've latched onto it because it's easy to exaggerate and twist.

There are areas of Exact Match where reasonable people can disagree. The notion that Kemp himself created this is laughable. The law has been around since 2010.
