Pardon the pun, but frankly politicians from both sides of the aisle push the envelope on these mailers. This one does seem pretty egregious though, and not very well thought out. Who thinks "Sure, I'll give Ted Cruz money. He's the one who scared me into thinking I was being sued."

Ted sent out some sketchy ones in Iowa in the primaries as well: Did Ted Cruz gin up Iowa voter histories?

Reuters was one of the least accurate polls in the 2016 Election. Larry Sabato admittedly had to eat crow. I'm going to guess that this poll is off by a few points.
