The AP has just called the 4th District House race in Utah for the Democratic challenger Ben McAdams over the Republican incumbent Mia Love. The margin of victory for McAdams was 21 votes above what would have mandated a recount. This now means that the Democrats have gained 39 seats in the House of Representatives since election night on November 6th. That is more than where any of the projections were just prior to the mid-term elections. Democrats also gained 7 Governorships while only losing 2 Senate seats with a map that was advantageous for Republican candidates.

You’re happy that a black woman was ousted from congress by a white man?The AP has just called the 4th District House race in Utah for the Democratic challenger Ben McAdams over the Republican incumbent Mia Love. Wow, one group looks like America, the other looks like a country club in Mississippi

First, Identity politics is garbage. Second, when African Americans vote for republicans they’re called uncle toms, when women vote against women candidates they’re called fake feminists and people say they let everyone down. So of course it looks like that
That’s not the point. People act as if Black people have to be democrats, if you vote against democrats you’re an Uncle Tom, a traitor, ect. People called any black person that voted for Ben Carson an Uncle Tom because he was a republican, same with John James, same with Mia Love, ect. Democrats complained and said white women was letting the country down and not voting democrat enough (split 49% vs 49% this year), they complained about 18% of black women not voting for Gillum. So of course one side is more diverse than the other, and again Identity politics is garbageWhich group do you think is more likely to understand and better represent the diverse viewpoints and perspectives of Americans?

Who was the Indian-American? I forget.Let's see, statistically in the 2016 elections:
Oldish white dudes:
GOP: 12 (70%)
DNC: 4 (80%)
Women:
GOP: 1 (6%)
DNC: 1 (20%)
Hispanic:
GOP: 2 (12%)
DNC: 0
Indian-American
GOP: 1 (6%)
DNC: 0
African American:
GOP: 1 (6%)
DNC: 0
In 2016, the GOP ran just as many women for POTUS as the DNC, 200% more Hispanics, 100% more African Americans, 100% more Indian Americans and 10% less white dudes.
EL? Care to explain why your tent wasn't big enough for minority candidates?
