2018 Football Schedule

This season will be a 7 win season. Plus an 8th win in bowl game. Wins UTEP. ETSU. Charlotte Vanderbilt Kentucky South Carolina Missouri. Loses Florida Georgia Auburn Alabama and West Virginia
2019 will be a bad season. We lose Kelly Kongbo Phillips FDormady Abernathy Bates Bain Kirkland Hall Hayden Tuttle McKenzie.

I was thinking the same, but it all boils down to our recruiting haul... and if the coaching staff can salvage any kind of class this year. They have offered some real "BEASTS" in the JUCO ranks, and we have had a couple of de-commits looking at this new staff with renewed hope. I'm guessing 6 - 8 wins plus hopefully a bowl win for 2018... with anything above six wins being icing on the cake, and the bowl win... FIREWORKS ! ! !

I vote we put up the 2018 schedule so we never have to look at that God awful atrocious 2017 schedule results again.
It's time for a fresh start!!

It looks like the key games are WVU, UF, and USCe. TN's record in those games will likely determine how good of a season it is. If TN wins all three, Coach Pruitt is likely SEC COY.

6-6 I'd be happy.

Win 2 of 3 from Vandy, KY, Mizzou. Split with SC & FL. Win all three OOC or Drop WVU but beat SC and FL.

We would have no business losing to W.Va even if Grier does return. I'm betting he bolts for the NFL just like Locke most likely will too.. We should rarely have years that we lose even 1 between Mizzou, UK and Vandy. Those should be 3 wins 7 out of 10 years

My prediction 9-3. Only loses coming to UGA, AU and Bama. And hopefully we play them tough. I like our coaches a lot and feel they will put us in the best position to win.

Who makes out these schudules? It always seems like we have a truck load of hard games back-to-back. It would be nice to have them spread out a little.

Mullen wont turn Franks into a superstar that fast -- UT should win with the running game

6-8 wins sounds right but with this staff and not knowing what recruiting will bring I’m still saying 7-6...if we shock a team we were supposed to lose to then all well and good but anything above 7 wins and JP got LUCKY his first year!!!!

I wonder if CJP will teach these boys how to block and tackle? Seems that would solve a lot of problems. I made the mistake last season thinking Butch's new OC and coaches could make a difference. Other than Gillespie, I see the error in that line of thinking.
Of course, based on what I read here, no coach could thrive with Butch micromanaging, and putting the wrong talent in the wrong places. (Byrd to defense now?).

I'm getting that feeling again. Once again the coaching staff is pretty much wiped clean.
For some reason, I trust CJP because he seems to understand football better. If nothing else, we get a new brand of football. Should lead to more victories. I see us at least beating Florida.

Same goes for the rest of the SEC. We have an open week between Ga and Auburn. If SC is a hard game, that's on us not them.

2018 is typical. We have 4 games on our schedule that will be a challenge. The other 8 are very winnable. Who knows what Ga will look like after graduation and who leaves early? Florida. Well, they have a lot of work to do to be a good team(We do too.).

Too early to tell about the west teams. There's a bunch of time between then and now.

Somebody please give a rational reason as to why we beat South Carolina and Kentucky.

The main reason I believe we can/should be able to beat those teams is pretty simple. We could have easily won those games this season playing as poorly as we did. I don't think we'll have the # of injuries on defense or to the OL. Honestly, it's all hope.

I’m glad we have UF at home. I think that will give us the edge. UF is coming off just as crap of a season as us. Pruitt is very firmilar with Mullen’s offense. I’m not saying we will for sure win, it’s UF, we’ve lost plenty to them even when we should of won. But. Expect another close game like it has been most years lately. Let’s just hope we get the miracle final play this time. Or 35 unanswered works again if that’s how they want to play it. Damn I miss Dobbs.

too early to predict, recruiting/ JUCO potentials could turn tide either direction...

5-7 or 6-6 is the ceiling. And that is ok. Give the man time. Dabo and Saban got time. It takes time to drain the Hamilton/Kiffin, Jones swamp. Be patient and don't try to run this guy out of town after they lose to West Virginia for Pete's sake.
