Perhaps the men's game is different in that athleticism is a great equalizer. Also, I wonder if more skilled men are not as committed to high school education and find themselves playing at smaller schools. (Never researched this...but makes sense to me.)

Not sure that the presumption of over-achieving because of coaching is a full explanation.

She Ismail unqualified because she sucks as a head coach. A career assistant that somehow learned nothing from the master of coaching girls up to play the best that they can!

Also there is more parity in the men's game because there are way more good male basketball players, there is no parity in the women's game, it's the reason why you have all 4 1-seeds in the final four and it's been that way a lot more in the women's game, heck Louisville years ago was the first 5 or lower seed to make a NC game while there have been quite a few in the men's game and a Syracuse win it as a 7th seed.

These girls come to play for Holly and her staff, we either need to support them or find another team to cheer for.

Holly lost a tourney game at home for 1st time in LV history. Has failed to get into sweet 16 2 years in a row....for 1st time in history. She is a disaster and has effectively destroyed a once proud program.

"Effectively destroyed..." that's just so much horse hockey. 🐎💩

When Pat lost in the first round with a bench of top recruits, did you say she was a disaster and destroyed the program?

There have been very good metrics of success during Holly's time both on the court and off. TN has not yet been the Final4, but we've been close 3 times.

Certainly NOT destroyed.

All three times she made the Elite 8 they were not CLOSE to winning those games! They got blown out and were not really even competitive in two of those and the other was still a 9 point loss I believe. So NO they weren't close to a final four during Hollys tenure at all! So keep spreading that cow manure and propping up Holly, but we also have seen two straight years ended at 32 and not even close to Elite 8, so yes that metric shows a regression.

She has no clue how to win a game that coaching affects a lot unless you have way more talent and sometimes in game coaching can even make a difference then.

These players are not enlisting in the military. Do you know me or my age? I don't think so. If this place is toxic why don't you leave? Or do you thrive on being in toxic environments?
