I mean, how are you so sure that SC won't be the ones shutting UT down? Harris, Cuevas-Moore & Cliney are all excellent perimeter defenders. You on the other hand are speaking of 3 players who have never played a minute of college basketball. Just saying

They may shut them (us) down but I doubt it and Cuevas-Moore wont be apart of the equation! She’s a senior this year right!

Y’all need Williams badly (and ONO) imo! If yall don’t land either yall better pray for a few grad transfers

You know SC is always in the mix come transfer season.

One thing I can say for SC they are up on the available players. While Holly concentrates on the top 25 or 30 players SC keeps their eye out for those plus past top 30 players looking for a change.

I would much rather have her go to Uconn than USC.

Lord no. Never. Never. Scarolina getting some pub is one thing, but that school up north? Never. Not in a million years would I wish good fortune upon them. I pray for the day they have to bid farewell to their coach and become "just another team," as we have in the passing of our own legendary leader. I pray for the day they reach for their dictionaries to look up the word "humility." I pray for the day they are astounded to watch as recruits pass them by to attend other schools,. Would that such a day could come soon. It cannot come soon enough.

The only comfort I take in all of this is knowing that one day they will wake up and realize that it can never be as good as it was. The bane of every legendary coach's legacy is the day that follows. We have learned this lesson. Soon, so will they. They may hate us. They may revel in the mistakes that plague us. But one day, a day which will come sooner than they can possibly imagine -- they will join us.

This point would only be valid if we played you in game one of the season. By the time we play SC and especially the game late in the season the freshmen will have played enormous minutes and want be freshmen anymore.
I personally think both teams win at home and the games will definitely come down to who is making shots on the perimeter this season.

That I do know, Coach Staley always seems to get/make that first call when a transfer announces

This is from a Dishin and Swishin podcast a couple of years ago:

"Some interesting comments from Staley about the transfer situation. I had no idea that Gray had verbally committed to SC before changing her mind and going to UNC.

Also it was interesting that Connecticut Sun's own Kelsey Bone steered Kaela Davis to SC, even though she herself had transferred from there. "

UConn got like 7 of the last 10 #1 players... that’s not exactly doing more with less and those number 1 players are always surrounded with other good players.

You surround raw talent with his coaching and that system and you get the UConn powerhouse.

Other programs may do less with their talent but it’s not exactly accurate to say UConn does more with less. They do WAY more with more, if we’re being honest.

Lets see what happens these next few years. I think it’s safe to say Texas and Baylor got the #1 and #2 classes this year.. The Texas schools are recruiting at a very high level. Now if nothing comes from it over these next few years, not even a Final Four, then Mulkey and Aston should probably be banned from top 10 players forever due to gross negligence.

I liked that "more with more" way of saying it.

But I still stick with my original point, which was that Geno does more with less.

UCONN does get the #1 recruit more often than other schools. But it's only 4 out of the last 10.

Since 2008, UCONN has had the #1 recruiting class only ONE TIME: 2012 (Stewart).

In 2009 & 2013 UCONN's classes were not even in the Top 30. (Both unranked classes were after landing the #1 player the previous year. EDD left before playing though.)

Yet UCONN won 6 of 10 Natty's.
