Which Vols are taken in next years draft and where/when will they be selected?

My Predictions (TIFWIW):

Cam Sutton- Rd.1; Top 10 pick
Derek Barnett- Rd. 1; 10-20 range (Possibly Higher).
Hurd- Rd. 2; 33-40 Range
JRM- Rd. 2; 40-50 Range
J. Robertson- Rd. 2; 50-60 Range
Kamara- Rd. 3
Malone- Rd. 3
Dobbs- Rd. 4

Other possible draftees: Vareen, TKjr, Medley, Evan Berry, Ethan Wolf, Coleman Thomas

*Honestly, its just nice to be able to have this discussion again.

Too many variable?

Will they suffer any injuries during season? Will they be unseated as a starter by a younger player this season? WIll they get in trouble off the field or get a suspension? Will they have a bad year on the field and their performance drop?

I don't see Malone getting drafted a year early at this point. The rest is possible (give or take a couple rounds) in my opinion.

On the Other possibles list you have Medley...... Ermmm?? Okay!!

not a draft expert, but just my opinion...

Don't think Sutton goes Top 10 IMO .. late first rd
Barnett - looks about right.
Hurd - see him staying for his Senior Yr honestly.
JRM - looks about right.
Kamara - Later round than 3rd..
Malone - not ready..
Dobbs - may not get drafted

Others - Ethan Wolf is really good looking TE prospect if he comes out.. TK needs time. Vareen probably picked up after draft.. Evan needs time. Medley needs time. Coleman probably picked up later on as well..

Agreed. Medley ain't going anywhere as things stand right now. He was fortunate to still be kicking on Saturdays last year, don't see him kicking on Sundays anytime soon, if ever.

I think you might have Sutton & Barnett swapped. I think Barnett could be a top 10 pick & Cam just a 1st round pick.

I would say Cam goes 20-30 range. I say Barnett probably 6-10 range. That's if they both have big years next season. That's just my opinion though. They both could go top 10 for all we know if we win the national championship. That would be nice!

Dobbs will not be drafted 4th round lol

Josh Dobbs had a glowing NFL evaluation after the 2014 South Carolina game from Bucky Brooks, and most websites still have him listed as a top-10 QB prospect for the 2017 draft:

NFL Draft - 2017 NFL Draft Prospects - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com (8th)

WalterFootball.com: 2017 NFL Draft: Quarterback Rankings (10th)

2017 NFL Qb draft Class | Eleven Warriors (8th)

Dobbs is obviously still a project, but he put up decent passing stats (15 TDs against just 5 INTs) against very strong competition this year despite a ton of injuries and suspensions at WR. Donovan McNabb had similar college stats running a triple-option offense at Syracuse, and he was taken 2nd overall. Hell, even Tim Tebow was a first round pick. All it takes is one team to fall in love with a high-character, high-ceiling prospect like Dobbs.

With a bigger year next year, Dobbs could definitely be an early or mid-round draft selection.

Has to demonstrate that he can make all of the NFL type throws.. Then maybe

Hurd will be a featured back.. Would be perfect for Seattle

Seattle will probably stick with Thomas Rawls, but I agree. Hurd will be a monster for someone. He'll be a better NFL player than Derrick Henry, and it wouldn't surprise me if it were by a wide margin.
