2017 NFL Draft Day Thread

I think what might have hurt Dobbs is that NFL teams might have questioned his patience to sit behind a starter for more than a year or two...they saw that he has a future and could just say screw it I'm gonna go design spaceships

I'm pretty sure Dobbs is strong enough at math to stay in the NFL not starting.

I disagree with Kamara getting more touches than Ingram this year. I think Kamara will be their designated 3rd down back this year, but he will be behind both Peterson and Ingram on the depth chart. I agree with your 1 to 2 year timeline for Peterson. I also think Ingram probably only has a few years left. That is why I indicated that I think Kamara will have a limited role for over the next couple of years. I don't think New Orleans is a bad spot for him to have landed, but I think there were better spots for him - Tampa Bay and Green Bay being two of them.

Limited role for AK, yes. But I think he still gets decent playing time, plenty of touches as a rookie taken in the 3rd round. Ingram isn't very productive in general and Peterson is on his last leg. And then special teams returning punts could be another place for Alvin to shine.

Wouldn't disagree at all that TB and GB would've been very good landing spots as well. I was hoping and kinda thinking he was gonna be a Packer alongside Rodgers.

Good pick for Cincy. I agree with the NFL Network guys that he can likely be better in the pros than in college.

Raiders not even pretending that Oakland matters anymore. I sure wouldn't give them a dime of my money if I were in Oakland.

King to Pittsburgh here I think. Caleb Brantley available too. Jake butt still available...

Don't see Dobbs here

Edit: I was wrong. 👍
