2017 NFL Draft Day Thread

Bucs have had an above average draft. Love Howard for Winston and I think LSU's KB is just a damn good football player

Before the talking heads started overhyping him post-combine, the 4th round seemed like a great spot for Dobbs.

Exactly. He was 5th or 6th at best in January. Going in the 4th still shows he improved his stock significantly with his workouts and interviews.

Look at the end of the day this draft has gone kinda as expected for TN players.... Except maybe for kamara...& he's in a great situation. As is Sutton

OK guys, since I live in Arizona I did not get home from work until over an hour into the draft tonight. Therefore, I have been watching the entire second and third rounds on a delay and I just finished. Has Dobbs4Heisman admitted what a dumba$$ he is yet?

How is Kamara in a great situation? Buried on the depth chart behind Peterson and Ingram is not a great position of he asked me. I could see him being there third-down back, but that's the most action I see him getting for at least the next couple of years.

See Darren sproles. Kamara was never gonna be an every down back.

And he's got a hof qb, great offensive minded head coach.

Kamara will get 10ish touches a game, and he can help in the return game.

He's in a great place to properly use his skill set

OK so you agree with my assessment? He will probably be third on the depth chart but will probably be there designated third-down back.

Yeah I guess? but I think that's perfect for him. And I'm not sure Ingram is around much longer.

Not sure what you expected his role would or should be be if you don't think it's a great situation

Kamara and Sutton are players that I would have loved for the Cardinals to have ended up drafting. Kamara would be a great back up to David Johnson and the Cardinals need a solid #2 cornerback. I knew the Cardinals weren't looking for a running back, but Kamara would have been an upgrade over our current backup RB.

Kamara will get more touches than Ingram by the 5th game and AD is not the same back after 2 knee surgeries and age/mileage. I would not be shocked, if by the last 4 games, he has more touches than both of them, combined. Plus, Brees will find him when he is open and he will be open, a lot. Add in, maybe, punt returner and it's not completely out of the realm of possibility, that he could be the NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year.

But, then again, I am a homer and this could all be wishful thinking. New Orleans has great fans, tho, and AK is charismatic and he will be a fan favorite.

Don't 4get that Addidas contract and commercial, add in his guaranteed money and he may clear a million, this year

And Peterson certainly won't be around much longer either ...1, maybe 2 more years, with diminishing touches. I agree with you Jake. AK is in a very good spot, in an offense that fits his skill set.

I disagree with Kamara getting more touches than Ingram this year. I think Kamara will be their designated 3rd down back this year, but he will be behind both Peterson and Ingram on the depth chart. I agree with your 1 to 2 year timeline for Peterson. I also think Ingram probably only has a few years left. That is why I indicated that I think Kamara will have a limited role for over the next couple of years. I don't think New Orleans is a bad spot for him to have landed, but I think there were better spots for him - Tampa Bay and Green Bay being two of them.

He is playing in an offense that is well suited for his talents. He may not start right away but he'll impact the team as a special teams ace and 3rd down back but as the season goes on I think the Saints will start putting him on the field more ahead of Peterson and Ingram. Personally I don't think Adrian plays a full year in New Orleans he is done I think.

I think what might have hurt Dobbs is that NFL teams might have questioned his patience to sit behind a starter for more than a year or two...they saw that he has a future and could just say screw it I'm gonna go design spaceships
