2017 NFL Draft Day Thread

According to Cowherd today Alabama is not getting drafted because "the NFL guys are saying buyer beware, they come out beat up and topped out and with nothing left to give. Sabah will come out and try to put a spin on it but this is a real thing with Alabama now."

I guess that explains why Alabama had more players drafted in the first round than any other school, and could very well have another 4 go in the second.

And given that all those players are beat up, and the "buyer should beware", it's sort of weird that Alabama had twice as many Pro Bowlers as any other school.

Nice work by Cowherd. That's some really stellar insight.

Cowherd talking to Mangini about the Alabama players.

Eric Mangini: it's that they come out of Alabama as developed as they are going to get... there is no more ceiling.... you get what you see, but the level of competition they are going into is much higher.

Dobbs expected to go 3rd round to Steelers and Kamara to go to Eagles. So that would make two UT players to the Eagles. Only time will tell.

good with Dobbs to the Steelers...!!

though i wouldn't rule out a run on QB's in the 2nd, maybe getting him picked late in the 2nd round....but who knows.

you could see 3 qb's picked in the 1st 15 picks tonight.

Kamara to the Eagles? meh. putting all our eggs in one basket huh?

there's no need for him at Carolina or Pittsburgh, so it's probably not a bad landing spot all things considered. you think about places where he could shine....New orleans, KC, IND, GB...NE... Seattle... he'd be great in those kinds of offenses....

With the way things are going this draft, I don't think Dobbs last that long.

I am more than hoping Kamara drops to us. If he Mixon or Cook isn't there, we better be looking at CB.

They way teams reached in the 1st, I have little doubt that every draft eligible QB will be taken by the end of the 2nd round lol

well, it's less of a reach now, but there are still a lot of other good players available, that will be hard to pass up early in the 2nd, even if you do think you still need a qb.

it'll just depend now on where these teams have these qb's on their individual boards, and is it worth it to take him now, or see if they fall a little bit more.

if the jets and charges both pass on qb's on their early pics tonight (38, 39), then...who knows.

I don't think either takes a QB in the second.
