Honestly, do we practice on sheet of ice? Injuries under Butch Jones have been at an alarming rate and outside the standard deviation of normal.

Richmond and Kirkland have both been rumored as being 2 of 3 players facing suspension for failed drug test.
What's the point of having these 'injuries' instead of a suspension other than just giving extra leeway later on down the line?

We probably practice on a field that's similar to Neylands grass when it was terrible 3 years ago

Well if you notice, its the same guys getting hurt :/

Hate to say this but we continue to recruit injured players. I know it makes the kid feel great that we stand behind them despite the injury, but I wonder if we need to continue doing that? Injury prone in HS...bound to continue in college. Yeah....I'm a jerk for posting this.

Chance Hall OL - Knee, Season-Ending 8/6/17

K'Rojhn Calbert OL - Knee, Season-Ending 8/9/17

Jacquez Jones WR - Knee, Season-Ending 8/15/17

------------------

Shaq Wiggins DB - Shoulder, TBD

Josh Smith WR - Collarbone, 4-8 Weeks 8/20/17

Darrin Kirkland LB - Knee, TBD 8/26/17

Darrin Kirkland was injured in the Spring. Given how Jones does injury intel, this is something known all along and just now exposed.

Chance Hall, from what I have heard, has been a known injury all the time. Same deal. Just came out a couple weeks ago, but was unlikely to play much.

Add Shy Tuttle. Re-injured leg last year, did not play in Spring, and is 'unlikely to play'....'the first 2 or 3 games'. Will be surprised if he plays a down all year, or maybe his ceiling is a few downs of relief in desperate circumstances.

We finally have some SEC quality depth. Maybe that will make a difference this season.

They interviewed Sgt Carter on The Nation tonight (Cris Low and Austin Price) and he said they're "still evaluating DKJr," and didn't want to be hasty without knowing everything about his injury. Referenced Josh Smith's recent injury where they initially thought it was a broken collarbone and estimated he'd be out 4-8 weeks....said now, since its only an AC joint sprain that he may actually be able to play Monday night vs GaTech.
