Yes it could be a cakewalk. You do realize I used the word "could" not "will." Huge difference.

Thank you. You are right. It COULD be a cakewalk, but anybody that knows anything about football thinks that it SHOULD NOT be a cakewalk with all the talent that LSU has. I wish it would be a cakewalk. All that said, I'm very excited about team121, it should be a good group.

All things considered, this is a great schedule, everything is spread out.

Considering Georgia Techs unique offense, it is better to have that game first so there is plenty of time to practice for their Offensive Schema.

We have Pseudo recovery weeks between Fl, GA, AL and LSU. Of course they could also be considered trap games.

We also get a bye week between GA and SCAR. I wish bye week was a week or two later though instead of week 6. Hopefully we are still good and fresh when LSU game comes around (after long Mizzou road trip).

Only Four away games: games: 3 FL, 7 AL, 8 KY and 10 Mizzou...and Neutral site Georgia Tech opener. I think we can match hometown Tech for ticket sales.

I feel bad for Ole Miss with SECe games vs Vandy and Ky.
Georgia with Aub and Miss St is as easy as SECw gets.
But they do have Notre Douche.
Bama gets Vandy too.
Mizzou with Arky and KY.
Without looking at Schedule, I think Fl gets aTm at Home and LSU on the road. I just checked Florida has Michigan, FlaSt, Tennessee, Georgia, aTm and LSU. Ouch!!!

So why no home game with TX A&M in return for going down there this year?

Did my own homework and found an old article from 2014 about sec football future rotation; Texas a&m doesn't play here until 2023.
Sounds dumb to me but I was just unaware

We are repeating the 6 year process and reversing the home game pairs.

I believe it goes:

18: @Aub
19: MissSt
20: @Ark
21: Ole Miss
22: @LSU
23: aTm

Note: each of the 3 pairs must switch order. For example, Aub will play before MissSt, Ark before Ole Miss and LSU before aTm to keep the H/A game integrity considering we have a permanent SECw rival in Bama.

They'll come to Knoxville in 6 years. They got rid of the back to back year scheduling when the conference expanded this last time.

Oh I am not saying it should be. We all know that LSU always has talent and whoever coaches there next year will have a good roster.

I've got the LSU game circled. We owe them some payback for 2001 and 2006. GT will be tough because of the option, which Tennessee has never defended well since forever. Bama and LSU from the West is a brutal draw. We will lose a lot of talent this year as well, but the schedule sets up for minimum eight wins if we lose to the big four.

I think this is a manageable schedule for UT. It's certainly not easy, but the "tough" games seem pretty spread out.

Me and my dad will be at the LSU game as we were last time they played. Im From Baton Rouge and he is a lsu fan so should be fun. I was at the game in Baton Rouge when we had too many men on the filed i was also at the game when Tennessee came back from 21 points to win in ot. first Tennessee game i ever went to was the 2000 game we lost in OT and lsu rushed the field. I was about 10 years old i can remember my dad asking me if i would like to put a lsu shirt he had on and i said no im good... I think that day he realized i was going stay A Tennessee fan the rest of my life.

Guys, opening with GT is NO JOKE. Then you get a game to heal before Florida ... Boom! Then a game to correct issues before the gauntlet. Tough schedule.

Not a fan of the ooc opponents. I wish we had a 9 game SEC schedule. I'm sure the fund is praying that we beat Floriduh. If we drop that game, ticket sales will definitely be down.

Bad opener. Hard to prepare for their off. even when you have some playing time to get everything sorted out and timing down. First game, easy for defense to be a little slow and confused trying to work together to stop the option game.

We've only got 9 months to prepare for it.

But against who?? Can our prep team come anywhere near the speed and skill need to really help for GT's guys that have been running that system, at least for their college careers?

We've got 2nd and third string guys that can run Their offense better then their first string.

The opener against GT will be played in the new Falcons stadium and since I live fairly close....I will be there to see Butch whoop up on Paul Johnson. Also I want to see Arthur Blank's new toy. GBO! :dance2:
