As expected. If Butch didn't lose to South Carolina nor Vandy, he wouldn't even be in this discussion. No more second chances if he doesn't start winning next season.

I would hate to think 4-8 would get a HC fired at UT.
Well since no one in UT history has manged to go 4-8 then i'd say that would be a fire worthy record..

Like the article said, who he loses too and how they look doing it are key. If it resembles what we saw this year he's history.

My bad, I did edit. I left the n't off the would changing what I ment to say to the exact opposite.

4-8 should get the HC fired every time.

Might have been possible to beat Vandy and SC had it not been for all the injuries and the Hurd BS --- would he be in the discussion if he lost to UF and UGA instead of Vandy and SC ?

He should already be fired.

If we didn't have terrible leadership at the top he might have been. We have had a lot of idiots running the program for years and it shows.

Hopefully blackburn will be the new AD and do what's right and fire Butch if he fails again next year.

What record would be considered a fail next year ? If he keeps that worthless Martinez that is a fail right there

Anything less than 7-5 gets him fired next season. Depending how and who the losses are against, 7-5 might still get him fired. It will be his fifth season: no more excuses. Win, or leave.

BROWN NOSING APOLOGIST!

If players were not playing out of position there would be fewer injuries.

Hurd wanted a fullback ... there is not one on the roster. He got frustrated and was wrong, too.

Jones keeps getting credit for recruiting but can't find a starting LB.

He recruits with stars in his eyes instead of needs in his mind.

He is an outstanding MAC, Sunbelt, etc coach. He is NOT an SEC caliber coach.

7-5 with a freshman QB and a new set of RBs is ok, but that defense is what needs improvement esp the DBs - They need to move Bryd back there and run Mosley, Martin off the team, and fire Martinez -- also I dont think Tuttle will ever play again, so DT will be a problem too

CBJ and Rick Barnes are lobbying for Gilbert, instead of Blackburn. So CBJ might think his seat is less hot with Gilbert.

Well he's going to get a break because he has a new QB so I'm really not sure tbh

I would rather him coach like his career depended on it.

Bring on Blackburn, pressure is a good thing. It reveals weakness.

Some think 8-4 is attainable even with a green QB

If he doesn't make the changes he might not make it past Georgia.

Florida is losing a ton on defense, Georgia will be starting a very young offensive line. All Fall camp to prep for GT. Eight and four should be the floor, IMO.

If it happens or not is another matter entirely.

Well this article lost me when it listed a coach that went 5-7 as a potential replacement. Seriously.

And most of those quotes look like they were taken from the folks on this board.
