2016 schedule???

if we lose to either va tech or florida butch should be fired at the end of the season. no team has beaten tn 12 times in a row. if florida does it at home next season butch is gone at the end of the season.

Have we not learned our lesson of putting too much pressure on the team to beat Florida?

Maybe if you idiots stop citing the past to excees every year before that game, we might win. It's funny that in the lead up to the Georgia game, there was no big deal made about our losing streak to them and we won.

Maybe if you don't talk about the losing streak to Florida we might finally win.

I think Tennessee goes 10-2 and wins the SEC East from what i've seen of the schedule. I think Florida will be 2nd,Georgia 3rd,Kentucky 4th,Missouri 5th and Vanderbilt 6th.

This obsession with Florida is becoming self-fulfilling now. The more you hype up their streak, the longer it becomes.

Stop talking about so much and we might finally win.

You're confusing the "chicken and the egg" here. Tennessee doesn't continually lose to Florida because of what the fans think/predict/say.....the fans think/predict/say what they do because Tennessee, continually and without fail, always loses to Florida.

Why not? We were better this year. It took terrible coaching down the stretch and a 4th and 14 conversion to beat us.

I'm seriously beginning to think we might never beat this team again SPECIFICALLY because of fan sentiment like this. I argued all off-season against the idea that Florida had a mental edge over our players. I'm beginning to think now that they do. And primarily because fans like you have made such a big deal outta the past.

For once I wish Tennessee fans would instill confidence into the players than doubt.

Apparently this site does have an impact on the team given the Butch/Crowder rumor making it into the national news.

Also this obsession with Florida's streak goes into the media that incessantly asks the players and coaches about it.

I specifically remember a Tennessee reporter badgering Dobbs about the Florida game and streak during SEC media days. The reporter specifically cited fan sentiment.

This fanbase has unfortunately hurt the performance of the players with their constant negativity. I guess that's what a decade of losing does to you. But its still problematic.

Stop acting stupid. The media has pretty much been delivering the message of fan angst vis-a-vis the Florida game to the players.

If you spend all off-season and the week leading up to the Florida game talking about losing for 11 straight years, don't be surprised if the players collapse again in the 4th quarter.

If you keep thinking something bad will happen, don't be surprised if it does happen.

I agree but I have no doubt we beat Florida at home. We will beat Ca tech as well. But you're right if we lose to either team Butch should be fired.

Unfortunately we have a mentally weak head coach. His paralysis in the 4th quarters have been disappointing.

The thing I love most about McElwain is how he instills nothing but confidence in his players. Butch spends all his time telling our players how good the opposition is.

Weak minded coach + weak minded fanbase = mentally weak team

I didn't see any quit on the team
Vs Florida, as far as I could tell we came up a yard to the right of actually getting the W, we didn't, they were happy, we were not.

I agree. We keep losing to Florida because fans talk about the game. It's the only logical reason. If we'd all shut up about the game this season, Dobbs would have had 7 TD passes.

Lol if we'd been gifted Florida's defense like McCelwain had, we'd be undefeated and the Bama game would be a toss up. I've been frustrated by some of our coaching, but let's be honest. Our failings this year have been primarily the fault of our defense. They haven't played up to their potential at all thus far.

If Tennessee is 10-2 in 2016 with losses to Florida and Alabama Butch will probably get a parade since it'll be the first 10 wins in the regular season team at Tennessee since 2003
