Are they more illegal in TX or something? Coincidentally, my bro-in-law who is a public school teacher is in town right now from Dallas, and he and his wife were just talking about how they don't understand what the problem with illegals is.

They indirectly pay. If there is no one to rent the property, the property never gets built. The taxes increase as the property is improved from a vacant lot. Their rent covers the taxes. Obviously it does, otherwise the landlord would find another long term solution, because he wants to be profitable. The tax is a cost of doing business. If you cannot pass that cost onto your renter, you are under water.

Most people have this idea that El Paso is a terrible place to live. Your comment about El Paso was probably in reference to this idea (otherwise, why would you bring it up, given the context).

It surprises people to find that El Paso is a safe city. It helps give some perspective on what is actually happening. I live in Phoenix. Illegals everywhere. Safe and good place to live.

It looks like this Trump University thing isn't going away. Trump is facing two lawsuits. One is a class action lawsuit in California and another is the State of New York during saying that he defrauded over 10,000 people. He has to testify in court in California in August.

He promised that for people who paid between $5,000 and, I believe, up to $50,000, they could enroll in this school, meet Donald Trump, learn the exclusive real estate investing tips and become rich from attending the school. Well, it turns out, from multiple investigations and lawsuits, that people who paid the fee to enroll, they went to these schools, they were not taught by experts—in fact, they were taught by amateurs. The tips that they learned at the school were mostly publicly available information that you could find on the Internet. And instead of meeting Mr. Trump, people who enrolled in the school were told that they could take a picture with a cardboard cutout."

"So the attorney general of New York has investigated this school. There’s a big civil lawsuit that actually could force Trump to take time away from the campaign trail and testify on the stand about this issue. So it’s a big scandal, and I think it really speaks to who Trump is as a person.
